I personally adore all the Bon Jovi songs I've heard. ^_^ Personal favourites would have to be Living on A Prayer, Love is a Social Disease and You Give Love A Bad Name. Anyway, who else likes him?

Well, Sixx will be along shortly, I'm sure.

They've got a handful of good songs, mostly comprised of the old hits.

The new albums are garbage, and their attitude is ridiculous. "We really weren't a hair band" Ooook.

You must admit though, the message in their songs are good. I live my life by "It's My Life" and "Have a Nice Day"
Yep, the girls are right to call me a freak... ^_^

Consisting of "aren't we cool" and "please have sex with me". Just like every other group from the decade.

Their new music is commercial garbage that was created to capitalize on current trends and get some of their popularity back. All of which consisted of cutting their hair, buying Armani, and adamently denying their past because it's not "cool" anymore. The music is even more generic than it used to be. "It's My Life"...yes, because kids love that rebel stuff, independence, individuality, everything they aren't.

The only good thing about Bon Jovi was Richie's talent and their ability to write catchy melodies. The lyrics mattered very little, and were overall superficial to begin with.

But so were almost all other groups from the time, I wouldn't fault them for it were it not for the ridiculous 360 in the 90s/00s. It just further proved what trendwhores they are and how much they value fame and notoriety over their music (lackluster as it always was).

Oops... meant to say have good messages >_< My English has disintegrated entirely. You have a point I guess, but I'm more into the music then the band. Whatever your opinion is, they still have good messages in their music ^_^

Which is why I live by those songs in my own quiet way (Not wearing a short skirt or talking to others in school) but all my favourites are the old songs with a bit of fun in them.

Best thing about Bon Jovi is that Jon knows how to look pretty when he sings and that Richie is a good melody writer. Without either of those, Bon Jovi would fail.

Yeah, fallen was right. Bon Jovi is my guiltiest pleasure that I tell everyone. ^_^
The new albums are garbage, and their attitude is ridiculous. "We really weren't a hair band" Ooook.
That always makes me sad. Jon's denial is totally idiotic. :(

Damn that commercialism. Damn it and trendwhoring...even though Nikki Sixx does that too. :(

And on a last note, my favorite songs by them are their love ballads. Best songs from them I think. They know how to sell sex in the pussiest way imaginable and I can't get enough of that. Very Happy "Bed of Roses" and "I'll Be There for You" are my top two. The lyrics are mediocre but the melody is pretty and listening to it with your lover is almost a surefire way to get into bed and have some fun. Smile

Nikki does, but he always has. It's just who he is, not always a marketing ploy. He did it before they were popular, while they were popular, after they were popular, and now when they're popular again. Just can't make up his mind about anything. He's been a trendwhore since he was a kid, though, before he even started music. Thing is, he gets in during the beginning, rides it for awhile, then moves on, as opposed to those who jump in at the height of something.

Bon Jovi, on the other hand, were cool with their hair band past until oops, we wanna make a comeback, but those old videos are awfully humiliating and uncool. We'll just deny them and awe people with our pretty expensive sunglasses and new haircuts. Rolling eyes

I can forgive Nikki for being a trendwhore. At least he knows it and it works out for him some of the time.

Plus he kept his long locks. I am still trying to forgive Bon Jovi for cutting their hair.

My mom thinks that Jon looks sexy with shorter hair though. Sad

Anyways, more Bon Jovi analysis. Their newer songs from the Have a Nice Day album keep reminding me of something but I can't put my finger on it.

Its very upbeat. Like borderline pussy-dome. Not that I would mind that if it was a love ballad. But its not. Now their upbeat songs sound sensitive and oh-so-inspirational to life and happy. Makes me sick to my stomach. :(

Its funny actually. They want to appeal to the younger crowd but the only people buying their albums are the 30-something year old soccer moms who want to put a more positive insight on their angry teen.

And me. :(

They don't call it a guilty pleasure for nothing. W00t!
