Artist profiles are very convinient tools to see who shares your style of art, who you shoud aspired to, and is a good art history lesson.
Because most of this site made up by fangirls with brain size of a coffee bean , the artist profiles WILL focus on contemporary Japanese artists.
But, you can't forget classical, or even the ones who are famous purely by their actions (for example, Adolf Hitler)
So your challenge is,
Pick some artist you really like, find 7-10 pictures of good quality, and post them in chronological (if obvious) order coupled with a short biography. if the artist is still alive and has a website, a link would be perfect
Anyway, These are the artists who needs special attention as they are prominent and well known.
Names in Red have already been fulfilled.
Names in Blue need to be expanded (more example pictures)
Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha, Ranma, Urusei Yatsura)
Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto)
Obata Takeshi (Hikaru no Go, Death Note)
Tetsuya Nomura (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts)
Hiroaki Samura (Blade of the immortal)
Akira Toriyama (Dragonball Z, Dr. Slump)
Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion, Furi Kuri, Nadia)
Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiment Lain, Haibane Renmei)
Yukiru Sugisaki (DN angel, Lagoon Engine)
Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon) Thanks Fiona
Craig Tompson (Blankets)
Andy Warhol
Will Eisner (uhm....)
Art Spiegelman (Maus)
Van Gogh (Sunflower fields)
Clamp (If you don't know what clamp did, you've been living under a rock)
Pablo Picasso (Women of Avignon)
Auguste Rodin (The Thinker) thanks Fallen
Adolf Hitler
M.C. Escher
William Blake
Lotus Eater

Wish I could help. Can't you just make more PB accounts?
And I dislike Takahashi Rumiko to a huge extent. So I don't think I could help even if I wanted to. :/ _________________

Ummm... Her name is Naoko Takeuchi. Naoko Takeuchi did Sailor Moon...
Tell you what... I'll put up her info ^_^
She obviously needs more more attention if you don't even know her name...
Just wait a while... I'll put it up...^_^ |

You're semi close, Auguste Rodin did The Thinker. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I'm tempted to do Spiegelman, but I'm not really interested in his art, just his books. :/ I'm going to do someone who's not on thaat list, anyway. _________________
