Wondering if anyone has ever heard of the series of "His Dark Materials" by Phillip Pullman (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife & The amber Spyglass) ^_^

I read the 1st & 2nd (Love them!) but no one in my smaall pitiful town has the 3rd one. Most tell me the 3rd one was not satisfying to them because of the big ending. WTF?

I liked the third book more than the second one, at least. Maybe that's because there was more of Lyra than there had been in The Subtle Knife. XD I did like the ending to the series, but the first book will always be my favorite. There were just so many awesome characters in that one! *_*

The 1st one was my favourite as well. I loved the bear & the ending surprised me. Never saw that coming.

I loved all of those books. The third one especially, though I don't know why. I just hate it when good things end, and that was a good thing. Just my opinion though.

I accidentally read the second book first, then the third book, and then the first. For some reason I really liked the second book the most b/c of the interaction btw Lyra and Will...they had a real sense of teamwork...and Will's story was so sad!

I loved those three books. I mostly loved the character of the bear king, the real one, can't remmber what his name is but I thought he was especially kool, even though I enjoyed all three books enormously!

I liked the first two a lot, but the third let me down. It just kind of...went. It was building up to this grand climax type thing, but it just didn't live up to its own expectations. Although I have to admit, I liked his idea of death. I wouldn't want to go there, but I liked what he did with it. It was so sad... Sad

Of the other two, the first one was probably my favorite, although I did like the second one a great deal as well. The witches were cool.

Lol dwarf angels made me laugh. Yeah I could imagine Pullman pulling off a good ending, but his style makes depresses me. Not sure why.

Phillip Pullmans supposed to be bringing out more, as Lyra's Oxford just opened up loads more possibilities. Plus their were loads of sneaky side hint references to all the characters. (look at all the pullouts and study them closely) Rolling Eyes
