It's a somewhat small film, only playing at the fancy theater downtown that shows indie movies. But it's sooooo good. It's set in Ireland and is about a priest who has an affair with his housekeeper. The woman gets knocked up and leaves the baby on a doorstep. Patrick grows up, not knowing his parents, as an identity confused boy who ends up more and more of a tranny (and prefers to be called Kitty).
After being thrown out of the house, he ends up in a variety of "relationships" and goes to London to find his mother. Mischief ensues. Also some stuff about the revolution and all that.
Go see it. Or share what you think if you already have. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
