Here's a random point. In just about all game manuals there's a warning about how long you should sit playing games in a single session and how often you should have a break. Something like 15 mins break for every hour playing time.
Does anyone actually follow them? Anyone had any reactions to playing monster marathon sessions? My eyelid twitches for a day or two if I play for far too long. What about yourself? And if you don't have a reaction, play a lot and find out. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

I'll be honest, after playing Wii Sports for 6 hours straight one day, my arm ached a bit in the morning. Guess I should have followed the 15 minute rule. _________________ Smoking cigarettes can reveil hidden laser traps. This message brought to you by Marlboro.

Lol never followed any of the guidelines. Sometimes my hearing and sight'll go a bit dodgy after about 8-9 hours stright. But a little break of something normal and I'll be right back in the room. I generally turn off though by then. |

The first thing I do when I buy something, is open up the package and then throw away the manual. |

I usually don't pay attention to the warnings, but I do break every hour just because I can't sit down that long. |

I don't get seizures/ twitching/ whatever from that. Maybe one twitch of my arm every 5 hours but that's it. |

My eyelids twitch periodically and sometimes my arms/hands go to sleep but other than that, I'm not really affected when playing. That doesn't mean that the 15-minute rule is disgregardable however, it's just that a natural gamer probably wouldn't be affected from a continous playthrough over the course of several hours. |

Lol, I've never followed the 15min. rule. I haven't had any problems with the exception of when I sit too close to the T.V..... _________________ “I would like to believe that we live in a country which lets you hate the thing that killed your father.” –John Stewart

I can't stay still for that long. I usually play a game for about 30min (except for games like FF and LOZ). Those I can play all day. I get twitches and apendages going to sleep on me. I also get dizzy or have blurred vision. _________________

Don't follow that rule at all, and nothing's happened to me. I do read the manual for controller instructions and info on story and characters (if there is any). I can happily sit for at least 3-4 hours at a time and be immersed in the game that I'm playing. |

I only take a break every 2 hours or so, ad that's only because my mom nags me to take a break. She's like, obsessive-compulsive about making me take breaks. I can and have played for 6 straight hours though. Unless you count bathroom breaks. My worst symptoms? Well, one time the room started spinning. But then again I hadn't taken a drink in 4 hours. Most recurring? Hunger. LOL |

If I play DDR too long I will see arrows everytime I close my eyes. Then if I hear any music on the radio or whatever I can see the arrows for that song.
I've sat and played Final Fantasy for hours on end with hardly any breaks. I've had my eyes twitch, that's about it. I also have really weird dreams afterwards. _________________ I have magical female powers
