Problems With My Forum And Fac Account

For the past couple days I haven't been able to post in the Contest forums, and I thought maybe it was a small board problem that was going to be fixed soon, or it was my grandparent's computer since it has problems with cookies all the time. I just got back to my parent's though, and I'm still having this problem. There are two contests that end tomorrow for which I put on my art today, along with a request, and it seems I've also lost my automatic approval. I went to pm someone about it, but I've lost my pming priveleges too. I can't think of any rule I've ever broken on here, so I'm sure it's a glitch or something that I haven't heard about...or something..

The message I've been getting is the usual not allowed:
Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic.

Both times it's been on Windows XP with Firefox. I would try on IE but I uninstalled it awhile ago.

the forum apparently think you're a newbie, post few times in the sandbox and you'll be able to post it in contest ;)

Grr I was afraid of that...it keeps happening to me....

But that still leaves the automatic approval unanswered, last time this happened to me it only affected my board priveledges.

Due to recent events and a few cases of abuse by members, the auto-approval system has been tightened, with the side effect that all existing members must sit through the approval process again.

Oh, joy. So will this be like when we're knew and after awhile we'll have auto approval again or are you going to be keeping the process going for everyone all the time from now on until everything gets worked out?

Just so you know, as long as you're on a windows OS, that's impossible.

I was on auto-approval for like... a week. Sad

I guess I'm not anymore, though, due to these "few recent events" that I don't seem to know anything about. Laughing

I submitted art on December 28th, and it went through automatically.

so I may never have went through the change... approval panel would have been pointless for me anyway, almost all of my pictures are in Original>Male or Misc>Painting.

I don't actually submit art that often, but when I do, it's usually under the dragon section, or Original > Male.

I don't really do fanart, so it's not hard to find the proper categories for my work. The last time I posted art was December 24th, lmao. Secret Santa for Rindi. :X That went through automatically...

Auto-approval still exists, it's merely that existing users will have to earn it back, and it will take longer for new users to earn it in the first place.

The details were not very well publicized ... in short, one member was able to use their auto-approval status to evade a ban placed on their account by the abuse team.

lol, i was on Auto approve for a year, if not longer... i went to submit something this morning... and it just went through. The approval queue was at around 300 this morning (very high) lol

It may be hiding around soemwhere but there's some major digging to do o find it. It's not really that impossible when you've got a hacker for a bf teaching you everything lol.

Odd that some people lost auto and some haven't.....prejudice!!! jk.

My only request is that things like this start getting better advertised...like...I dunno a thread on the forums and a notice on the Site News would be nice....at the least...
