Anyone out there like Dragonlance? I always have a hard time finding fellow fans of this series. Which is odd considering how many books are in it (dozens in fact). Well anyway post here if ya like it! And oh... um... your favorite character too! Mine is Palin. Cute lil' nerdy Palin.

wow cool ok i haven't read these books, but i'm gonna start soon (i have no time to read anymore) because my babysitter was really into the series and it always sounded interesting. I've drawn some of the characters before (as a present for her) and she's told me a little about the story, so hopefully i'll be able to post more about it when i start them..... yeah

Oh you gotta read 'em! They're the best. Just make sure you start off with "Dragons of Autum Twilight" The very first DL book written. Sometimes it can get confusing which book comes first, because there's so many trilogies, single volumes, short story volumes, ect that go with it. The first book I read of was in the second generation series of which got me all confusaled.

lol the same thing happend when i first read the shannara series- i read the 2nd quartet first (the covers to those were prettier!) and they kept making references to stuff that happened in the past and all these other characters and i was so lost! but i read the 1st series and now i understand! (yay!)

but thanks! i'll be sure to do that! i think i have one dragonlance book, but it must be from one of the trilogies or single-stories you were talking about, because it had a different title (i forget- it was like "forgotten realms" or something; i think it's a prelude... EEEEEK damn my nonexistant memory!!)

Wow, great minds must think alike! I did the same thing with the Shannara series as well! I read the second quartet first as well, then the second book of the first one before. I actually read the first last.

The people that write the main trilogies are Tracy Hickmen and Margaret Weis. Of course there are dozens of other people that write for the Dragonlance series, but thier mostly fanauthors (it actually kinda reminds me of a form of doujinshi).

Now onto a puplic service announcement: Since no one on this site seems to have read these books please do so. If for nothing else then the fact that there's an entire race of cleptomatic hyper midgits living in it. ^^

Well it's been a few months... perhaps someone has read it now? Anyone?

Well, I have read all teh MW and TH books. I really loved them, especially the last one. On the literary scale, they aren't that great, but they have a cool plot. Yeah to dragonlance!

On, and my favorite character is Uncle Tas. I am his favorite niece after all.

Being a kender is really hard when you are 5'11". Trust me, you can't even hide behind most people in the hallways, luckly they don't suspect it.

um.. lets see.. I've finished the Chronicles, I'm in the War of the Twins of the Legends right now. I'm still looking for the Inheritance and The Dragon of the Summer Flame. is it part of the Chronicles?? I owuld love to know yet they say that its the second generation.... so far all I know is that you got to read Chronicles (Autumn Twilight, Winter Nights, Spring Dawning) before reading the Legends (Time of the Twins, War of the Twins and Test of the Twins). actually, the main story is the Chronicles itself while the Legends (what I'm currently reading) is the trilogy more about Fistandantilus, the Cataslisym and also about Raistly battling Takhisis...... yet there are some Raistlyn and Crysania romance in there ^^!

my favorite got to be Raistlyn! mages, time, battling the gods, cool!!

Do I like dragonlance? Hmmmm.... *looks at the COMPLETE series on her bookcase.* I think like is too weak a word. How about completely and utterly OBSESSED!!! I have....around 175 Dragonlance or dragonlance related books! When I started reading them, I didnt even think there were that many. But , alas, once I found out, I simply had to have them all. ^^ If anyone wants the complete list, by the way, go to dragonlance.com It has all of the published books there. Razz
