Number Of Fac Members Are Increasing Exponentially

Didn't we have member #40000 just two months ago? :huh:

and we broke through #42700 today...

This means that we'll go though 50000 in half a year.

Considering that it took from 2001 to September of 2004 to have 15000-ish members, (that's where I come in...)

The figures are awesome. W00t!

Unfortunately for us, the majority of the members are either:

Inactive
Squealish fangirls
Squealish fanboys
Or extremely under appreciated

The talented, appreciated, and intellectual members that posses all those traits are about 3%.

I wonder who member 50,000 will be, and if they will even stay in the forums. The majority of members don't even post ever again after their first 25 or so posts.

When I was a newbie I kept on replying just to get attention. That was last Feb. 2005 with 20thou-ish members, including me. Unfortunately now I can only reply rarely cause I had to deal with the pressures of College...EEESH! Well this sucks. I used to reply often. Still, I can keep on replying, unlike some newbies who never come back, eh?

Yeah, they are increasing rather rapidly. Although I can't complain cause most are friendly. But some are rather annoying or sensitive or err...the like, just like Rita said: squealish this and thats and the unappreciated and whatnot. And the 10-20% intellectuals. I'm a neuter, so I'm in between these people. Let's see...yep, still got the common description of me: Forum contributor
