What Do You Play?

I play Guitar and Bass. A select few other stringed instruments I can pretend to know how to play. I've beat a drum or two.. but the people in the room made me stop. I fooled around with a harmonica once or twice, until my evil family hid it from me. Aannnd...Um..I sing. Sorta. Yeah. Wish I could play all the really obscure instruments, you know, like the Accordian, or the Bagpipes, or.. heh the Vulcan Lyre that'd be cool. I've been playing guitar for a while. 5-6 years maybe? I still have a lot to learn. Excuse the chopped upness of this post, I'm not quite together myself today.

I play bass mainly...unless singing counts, then I sing more...it takes so much less effort...
I used to play guitar until it got too hard, haha

clarinet, bass clarinet, a little piano, and i'm starting guitar. uhh mostly i just play bass clarinet tho, like in orchestra that's my instrument. i like it b/c it's big and deep and special since very few people play it. i want to learn bass guitar and tenor sax and trombone and maybe violin or cello. um if singing counts, then i sing alllll the time. it really bothers everyone but i can't help it. i always have a song caught in my head. i'm not in chorus or anything tho. lol my voice is rather bad...

I play flute, clarinet, piano, guitar, and piccolo. Been playing the stuff since five and 10. Whoot!

I play the violin- it's such a beautiful instrument. I almost played the cello, but my mom said it was "too big" for me in 5th grade. *sighs* That's okay. The violin is great too. Although the cello woulda been cool as well.

I really really like playing too- and I'm probably one of the better players in our orchestra (even though it's my first yr in this orchestra) My teacher even pulled me out today when we were working on solo/ensembles to tell me how much he appreciated my talent and hard work. ^______________________^ It was so nice, and I was blushing so much. I couldn't stop smiling either.

I can sing well too, but I'm way too shy to do a lot with it. My mother doesn't like that about me (that I'm too shy to sing in front of people) but... well... *shrugs* .

I play piano, guitar, and I played trumpet in the school band... that was a long time ago... and it was also the only one that I've ever had actual lessons for... I taught myself piano and guitar... I've fooled around with piano/keyboard instruments since I was probably about 6, but it was just stuff all by ear... I didn't learn to read music until I look the trumpet, and that was when I was in gr. 7... So.... that would be about 6 or more years I played the trumpet... I also tried the clarinet (didn't like... too many buttons) and the tuba... great sounding, when I could get a good sound, but it was soo huge, almost the size of me... that didn't last too long... Oh, I also sing, too... I was in the school choir, but that was only for 2 years... people say I sing really good, but I'm often too shy to sing in front of people... I'm more confident on piano or guitar... I want to learn electric guitar right now... I only play stuff more suited to an acoustic, because that's what I have... I would also like to play bass guitar, or another string instrument, like classical violin, or even better, the cello.... I LOVE the sound of a cello, it's sooo beautiful... It would be cool to play it in an orchestra or string quartet or something...

i used to play the clarinet. 2nd clarient for about 7 years... then 1st clarient for a year.

Violin for 2 years because we were required to take orchestra, band, or choir, and my grandpa already had a violin. Hated it. Everyone sucked, and it took so long to learn a song, I ended up playing two or three solo things just to take up time every concert. . . . .

And I sucked, too, so that was a joy.

Piano for 5 or 6 years. That was ok until my teacher started pushing what she likes on me. Sorry, I hate classical music and theory. Yeah, theory's important and all, but doing that without getting to play any songs? Fuck that. Last straw was when she said I could play whatever I wanted at the next recital, and she said she'd order the sheet music. Well, I told her, but it mysteriously never came in even weeks after the time it should have, so she picked something out for me. Grr!

I quit two days before the recital and left her fucked in the ass to explain that one to the other people. Heard later that she told everyone I wasn't there because I'd hurt my hand. Uh huh. Haven't played in years, so I've basically forgotten everything. Have good sheetmusic lying around and just need to bother learning some of it.

Electric guitar for almost a year and a half. Teaching myself 'cause I'm doing it for fun, and having people tell me what to do isn't fun. I'll print all the tabs I want, thank you very much. As sucky as I wanna be.

Probably a better singer than I am anything else. I wouldn't know. More Joan Jett/Lita Ford-ish than the little prissy choir cunts. Woo, 80s songs.

I've won band awards too!! xD Yeah, I wouldn't want to have a career in music either. Anyone who does that for a living has to practice for like, 5+ hours a day, and I hate practicing stuff I don't want to.

Played violin for about, oh, five years. I quit about a year ago... I wasn't gettng any better, I didn't like performing in front of a group of people, didn't like the time I had to spend on it practising, didn't like the music, and it just got boring. Played piano for about a year, but it was about the same as the violin, and I quit it shortly after I gave up on the violin.

*Shrug* I don't regret quitting, though, gave me more time to dedicate to drawing, school, friends, stuff like that.

For School, I play Percussion, using that class for the blow-off A, ummm, I can play Piano, not two hands, left hand, lol, no wait, s**t... right hand, lol. That one yeah, and I play Guitar.

I play alto saxophone in our school band, which sucks, by the way. Our band teacher cancelled our trip to Orlando and Jazz Band, her only smart decision all year. I also play guitar for my grunge band, called Inside Out. I did play it for jazz band and I had convinced the teacher to let us play some Red Hot Chili Peppers "Can't Stop'' for our annual bridge run, but she cancelled that as well, go figure. Now, I teach myself chords and songs and tell my teacher to shut up.
