I chose orchestra because I can't really say I was a band geek. I was in band for 3 years (all of middle school), but I dropped it when I got to high school. I haven't touched my trumpet in 7 or so years lol. I'm looking into private violin lessons though, so yea. I choose orchestra, I suppose, just because I prefer the sounds of an orchestra.

Oh yea, and I also really sucked at trumpet. haha.

I'm an in-closet band geek. I love orchastra for the music, but it's full of these bitchy sophomore girls who think they own the world...when in reality they can't even play worth s**t. Band is definetley more tight-knit at our school than orchestra, meaning I have a lot more friends in band than in orchastra.

'Cuz I can play the xlyphone. Cool

*slaps head* Dammit, I knew I was forgetting a group when I made the poll. The choir snobs. Oh how could I forget? *sigh* Sorry 'bout that, folks. Next time I'll try to do better.

I have a good friend who plays the trumpet. My favorite band instrument has to be the sousaphone, just because of the funny name.

Only instrument near that size is the double bass..and that ain't that heavy.

i play trumpet and flute. I'm in band. I think it's ok, but on bad days i think band class is the only calming class i have. Music calms me down and stops me form gettint in fights.

I got started b/c my grandma peterson loved to hear a flute playing. so I took up flute, but she died before i could actually get into a band class, so i played flute in memory of her.

I starte dto play trumpet b/c of my best friend said that i wouldn't match his talent on the trumpet. Grr!

He's still eating his words, 3yrs later Laughing

So yeah, that 's my reasons, anything else?

I've never been a real choir freak. The women's choir at our HS is full of a bunch of sophomoric bitches, and I mean the bitches. There's no other quaint way of describing them besides being bitches. And, I can't seen. I don't like my voice. The brightside about the choir room is they have this gorgeous Saunter grand piano and the teacher let's me come in whenever I want to play.

His student teacher doesn't like me for it. . . . .

Both are fun to me. I like making music, but listening to it is certainly just as fun because you're not the one working.

I play bass guitar. I played guitar for quite awhile and than it got trendy. It still is. So I switched over to bass, and to be honest, I like it much better.
