Do I just live a sheltered life or what? I mean, that character is freaking everywhere on FAC. Yet, I've never, ever heard of him anywhere else (both Internet and real life). What gives? Is it one of FAC's little oddities or am I out of the loop already?

Just like Lindsay said, it's really not that interesting. I'm sort of picky about my anime, but most stuff is watchable even if I don't really enjoy it. I find Inuyasha to be unbearably boring though. My boyfriend can't stand it either. It's not particularly well animated either.

I don't really get all the "hoo ha" about it. Yes, hoo ha. ^_^

I actually found InuYasha somewhat enjoyable until I met it's fandom.

Funny how that works.

I tpisses me off that everyone hates it and blah blah, everyone loves it. Blah Blah. I like it at times but then again it makes anti-calmness. So I hate it and I like it, straight up xD
Im sick and tired of "I lubvvv inu11!1!!": or "I hate it, it's overated."
Both opinions are annoying and stupid on my account, I just need to get away from it all. But yeah.

i like it, but i'm not really overly obessed with it. It's just other anime with dog ears and a couple of demons running around to me.

Never watched it, and not likely too. Just seems a bit silly to me. A dog demon and a schoolgirl. Naah...

I'm not sure what appeals to me about it...But for some reason I've always liked it. I read the manga more now, and I seem to prefer that, but I think it's mostly my loyalty to my first anime that keeps me to it. Just like how I won't let people diss Poke'mon, because 1. I love it. 2. They probably did too. Or C. They are following trends and are too ashamed to admit it. It could be any. e.e
However, (I feel like I'm insulting Takahashi-san! TToTT) I do agree that the plots and fights can get a tad repetitive. I think the one thing that kept me tied to it for awhile was not only my interest in Kikyo and Inu's relationship, but my utter hatred for Kagome. >< She seems all...I dunno, preppy. It's hard to describe, but some part of me loathes her with a burning passion. ><

This will be closed soon :D

I don't get what everyone has against Kagome, really. She has an annoying dubbed voice....that's about it. She's a teenage girl who ends up fighting a shitload of demons.....and wins. She'd kick your ass. Rolling eyes

I like the love relationships going on everywhere. It's cute.

But.....nah. I don't watch it anymore. Is it even still on Adult Swim? I've moved on to bigger and better less mainstream anime/manga. <3

Boring as hell...I mean, let me put it this way:fight, flirt, repeat. That's all Inuyasha is.Nuthin' more to say.Not really one of Rumiko Takahashi's best.I'd rather take Ranma 1/2 over Inuyasha any day of the week, month,or year. ^_^

I just find it extremely dull. The extent at which they can stretch a single storyline rivals that of many generic shounen anime.

The animation isn't great, and the character design even less so.

I liked the first few epps, now its all just flashbacks and filler, theres only like 7 or 8 minutes of new footage each epp it seems, and I can't stand it anymore.
I really, really like most of Rumiko Takahashi's work, and the InuYasha manga (what of it I collected back in the day, before it got animated, when I was into it) is pretty good.
I find it very disapointing, however, when compaired to her other series that have gotten huge fanbases in the past, like Urusei Yatsura or Ranma 1/2- I think she should have stuck to romantic comedy and not tried this drama stuff.

Sesshoumaru looks like a little girl in the manga. Neutral

There are only three manga series I would feel like less of a person without. These are Parasyte, Arm of Kannon, and Hellsing.

Meaning? I 'm not terribly interested in a comic unless it's packed with insane innard-spilling gore, and not interested in a comic in the least if there's one face template and every single character looks like the same person with a different hairstyle.

But really, what people are saying about Inuyasha kind of applies to most anime in general for me. Repetitive, boring designs, flat characters. Sure, there's some decent stuff I like out there... but not a whole lot of it.

I think any anime that Cartoon Network tries to dub and stick in Adult Swim is going to have a bigger fanbase by being attacked and sucked dry by fanchicks at some point or another. See what happened with Fullmetal Alchemist last year, too? That show freaking kicked butt before they put it on CN and maimed the poor thing...and it got maimed even more by all fangirls making...well, kindova mockery of it. And that's what they're kind of doing with InuYasha.
I lost total interest in InuYasha after innocently browsing the Fanart section, because it scared the freaking crap out of me.

I agree about the fanart thing. XD I've gotten to the point where I go through these thoughts:
"Well....it looks like InuYasha...I suppose that's a good thing...but...wait...I just saw that pose earlier...*clicks back, clicks on next pic* O.O.....O.< IT BURNS!! IT BURNSES!!! >< *clicks back several times to escape, ends up on last website visited, then irritably clicks forward again* *looks at next pic* Wow! That's really good! Except...well, yaoi ain't bad...but I don't need to see that!
*looks at next pic* TMI!! TMI!!!!" (For unawares: TMI=Too Much Information >< Usually occurs when: I ignore the NC-17 or R rating @_@)
