Ugh! Whos Sick Of Flamers?

ok. new people/old/ just plain rude people come up and say snotty things about your pics. do you ever get sick of it? i mean. people can be so rude, sure some people on the site draw better then others. but they dont have to make a big deal out of it... a lot of the newbies consider themselves invincible and they say whatever they feel like. its annoying...

do you guys get sick of this? just wondering how many people deal with these guys.

I've dealt with a few, outside of FAC though. The one that annoyed me the most was when someone posted what I found to be a very rude and suggestive comment on a picture of mine, as the character in the picture went by the name Beaver...well, you can draw your own conclusions from there.

Best thing to do is to ignore people like that. I most likely amuses them if you flame back or show any sign of emotion towards their comments...in other words, don't feed the fire.

I've only gotten my art flamed once. And that was a retaliation-flame at GAFF. Thanks to him I have a new nickname for one of my OCs. =D

But I've never actually gotten an onsite flame. :/

I've gotten my art flamed only once, as well. And that was because the "artist" didn't like my "critique" of his own art.

I don't care. Retards are retards. They're not worth any attention.

Lindsay, I saw your work, and I think that it is very nice, despite what flamers may say to you. Flamers are usually just jealous people who have little talent and are trying to bring up thier own self-esteem by bashing artists with higher skill. At least, that is my opinion.

Also, I know that some poeple get flaming mixed up with constructive critizism. I've heard new and experienced artists alike complain after getting comments such as, "this picture was colored well, however, you might want to fix the left hand a little my moving the thumb up further," which is constructive critizism. It's comments such as, "OMG, lyk, dis picdurr suks, i cna draw beter then y00, LOL!!!!11" that would be classified as flaming.

Just my added $0.02.

I must say, both flamers and n00bs who post like they are from a different planet are indeed amusing...especially if you catch them on a role play board. But that is different story that we shall save for another time and place...

That's another way to look at it. Art is a very vast thing...some people will like certain things in a drawing, others will hate it. I learned that the hard way. It's all opinion, although I do think that some comments should not be given without a reason why they have been given.

Flames do get anoyying. Ive never been flamed but I have seen a lot. Some people flame just because they are jealous. I know because I saw this aweseom pic but some stupid person said it sucked and scrambled eggs can do better, then there was a huge fight about it.

They're annoying and they can hurt feelings.
To me they're just annoying and frustrating, some I keep if they're flames to me when they don't make sense so others can see how miserable the flamer really is, but people who flame my art, time to kick their ass! Or if they flame other's art. I would give them a stupid lecture and if they still bitch and mone (sp) I report them.

I went onto their little whatever gallery (which had nothing in it mind you) went to their profile and formally BITCHED THEM THE f**k OUT. I was like "At least I have the balls to post some of my drawing dickweed..." or at least something to that

and they never wrote me back. And i got strata to pm some dude to get their account frozen. You mess wit me, you get the bitching and then you feel how cold it is outside. :3

yea... a flame i got a while ago made me hurt so bad i couldn't think straight in school and i cried for a few days cuz they wouldn't stop. a lot of people joined in on the flaming too. it made me almost leave the site and it kept me away from the forums for a while. eventually i got over it because i have friends in the picture section who didn't want me to leave and they made me feel better.

flames are not fun for me. since that first flame ive been a bit edgy if i happened to get another one.

its hard sometimes. and some of them i laugh at cuz they say the dumbest things lol
like: WHY THE HELL DID YOU MAKE HIS PANTS SO BIG!!!
i thought that one was funny...then the pic got deleted cuz it was a low quality pic T_T

im surprised so many people commented this thing in 1 day O_o wow
