I saw Saw but not Saw II. I actually really like Cary Elwes but when I saw him in a serious movie, I wasn't too sure how good it would be. I mean he's classic as a comedy actor ie Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Princess Bride, etc. I'm a pretty big fan of horror movies of all sorts (the good ones and the really low budget crappy ones). I really, really enjoyed Saw though. It's one of the best horror/thriller movies I'd seen in a while. It's so much better than the rehashed Cabin Fever/Wrong Turn kind of crap that had been cranked out. Slight difference between the two but mostly the same premise. Not that there is anything wrong with really liking those movies, I did actually see both in the theatre. I ended up renting Saw. Interesting movie though. Very good. There's parts that can be nitpicked, but altogether good.

Myself, I don't want to see them, but my parents saw the first and said it was decent...

i actually hated saw 1, the whole concept was good.. but the film was just boring as hell to me.. nothing scary either.. only good part was when the dumb fucker cut his own leg off, that and the revelation at the end.

allthough i hated part 1 i went to see part 2, mostly cause it was the only film left in the movies which i hadn't seen Razz
and too my suprise.. it was awesome...
the deaths were pretty cool.. and the whole "safe" part was totally f**king awesome.

I enujoyed them both. But the acting towards the end of the first one was piss poor. The scene where the doctor and finally uses the hacksaw, I thought it was piss-your-pants-funny. Laughing But as I said in an older thread, the pit of needles freaked me out.

It actually kind of reminds me of the movie Seven. They're both kind of dry movies, even a little bit boring. I enjoy them both though.

I thought to be more of a mystery/horror because the main point of the movie was who is Jigsaw or how did they get there. It did a great job with filling in or poiting to the suspects, but in the end it just all came together like a jigsaw puzzle I have to say havent seen the second. My favorite actor was Danny glover and the actor who played jigsaw. The movie even you have to admit has it's creepy moments

The guy did though. Remember the cop saying they found stomach acids on the floor? Lovely. Very Happy
