It's unbelieveable. Un-fucking-believeable. There's a moment where you're remaking waaay too much. This is definetely the case.

The Fly--Yes, they're redoing it for the third time.

Strangers on a Train--You probably haven't heard of it, but they're redoing that as well. Oh, and I heard they're considering Casablanca. Oh my god, shoot me now.

Books become horribly made movies, movies become horribly made movies...it's a vicious cycle that is making me rather ill. Some books would make great movies, touche, but since when were original ideas so bad? I've read some great scripts and yet they never get close to production, which is annoying because then I have to deal with remake after remake after remake. EwWwwwww....

Bitch, please, about how horrible remakes generally are.

Remakes are garbage. They just update the hairstyles and special effects, yipee. How many times are they going to retell Pride and Prejudice?

There are some amazing smaller very original films going on now, though. Breakfast On Pluto was to die for.

I can't believe they're remaking The Shaggy Dog! That movie waqs s**t to begin with, and now they're making it even shittier with Tim Allen.

OMG!This is so true. What next, the remake of the previous World War 2 film?A remake of the very first movie ever made?Originality is dying these days.I feared that we may never see a good original movie ever again.

Hmmm...Would have to disagree very slightly with this. Syriana was surprisingly good...But that was about it for original movies I saw. Everything else? A sequel/a remake/a novel/who goddamn knows...I'm so tired to remakes. They make me ill. Periodically you do have a gem, but that's rather rare.

Ahhh...nothing beats originals. Yeah I know, lots of remakes suck. The special effects rendering is great but the whole storyline becomes twisted, and the theme of the original story changes.

At least there are some originals today which cover up for the mishaps of remakes like: Cinderella Man, Ray, Crash, Munich and Capote. All of which are awesome movies and received Academy Awards nominations and/or awards in some categories. I watch remakes just to relieve my boredom. Originals are worth watching.

I read in an article in the newspaper just recently that most of the movies today are 80%(or was it 90%) remake. Wow. Talk about originality!
