Kojima Ayami

Kojima Ayami (小島 文美) is the amazing artist for Konami's Castlevania series of video games.

She is completely self taught [!!], and was "discovered" one day while she worked as a secretary!

Before she worked for Konami, she did a lot of paintings that were used as fantasy or horror novel covers, and did a variety of black and white illustrations, as well. At that point in time, she used the pseudonym "Kuronuma Odile" - Black Swamp Odile - an obvious reference to [i]Swan Lake[/i].

Interesting background information. Can you think of any particular books she drew for? I'd like to read them (and look at the pictures)

Buy most any Castlevania artbook, and she'll probably have a lot of work in there. That site I linked to has some info. And scans <333

I wouldn't say "lucky", but more like lots of practice with innate aesthetic sense. :0

Holy crap! She must've been drawing since her toddler days! Her artwork's bloody brilliant (very bad way to express appreciation).

Are you a Fan of like Castlevia or what eva because i use to but i dunno.....much about the person who made the animations to be truthful i have tryed making a few myself but turned out shitty
