Any Browncoats On This Site?

I was just wondering if there are people on this site who enjoy, or at least watched the short lived TV show Firefly which was unfairly cancelled by the bastards at Fox. Namely the fat pig-faced woman with bulging eyes who has since left.
Anyway, I'd just like to see if anyone here is a fan of Firefly or Serenity (the movie adaption which hit theaters in Q4 of last year, and which came out on DVD last month). It'd be nice to meet some fellow Browncoats*.

Anyway, what is anyone's favourite episode from the series?

*A browncoat is a word that means a fan of the subject matter upon which this thread is based.

I love the characters so much. <3 the setting, the writing, the concept, everything. As soon as I'm done with puppet I am going to have a binge, perhaps while I'm completing super Princess Peach. Very Happy

i liked the show, and watched a few episodes but forgot them. sci fi isnt really my deal, but it was better than other sci fi's on television. i signed that petition on the net a while back ...

Yes! I was wondering if anyone was going to/has posted a thread for this series. Freaking amazing series. I want more movies if they aren't going to continue the series. MORE MOVIES!!!!

I think my favorite episode would have to be Out of Gas. I swear I didn't blink throughout the entire time. Either that or...my gosh, I don't remember the name...it had Saffron in it. The one where they showed the ending before they explained what happened, like they did in Out of Gas. So basically it starts the episode with Mal sitting in the middle of nowhere completely naked and being all "...yet...that went well". I laughed my ass off for a good five minutes before continueing the episode on my computer.

Yeah, Fox needs to stop taking the rights to all the good shows and give it to the good stations. The Sci Fi channel, I think, played some episodes of it after Fox cancelled it, otherwise I'da never been able to find it again Sad

It was a pretty good show from what I'd seen, which was only a couple episodes. Need to watch Serenity though. It's one of those films I missed in the cinema.

Love that show (& the movie). Originally I wasn't that into it. The idea of a western in space wasn't too appealing. My dad loved it though and he bought the boxed set and made me watch it. So good Smile

Serenity was pretty awesome too, although, I'm not so sure I'm happy about the fates of some of my favorite characters...

Did anyone like the episode where Mal and Wash meet up with their old friend from the second episode? Damn, I really need to start remembering the names of episodes. I loved that episode; so good.
"No, Wash, this is Mal's fight."
Mal being beaten down by a brute: "No it isn't!"

I think that was Zoe's best episode. She had some great one liners. Who can forget:
"This is enough, but not enough, I'm afraid, for two. Now you're going-"
"Him" Points at Wash. "Oh, sorry, were you going to tell me I can only pick one? Would you like to finish?"

After that my favourite is the one where Yo-Saf-Bridge comes back and makes them get the Lassiter.

I think everyone had a heck of a lot of good one liners in the entire thing XD I have the "Jayne's Town" clip where they're singing The Hero of Canton (and the one in the Special Features episode where Adam Baldwin is singing it, that's pretty funny, too- but beside the point.). The conversing is in it and everything. One of Simon's best lines is in that episode, I think XD

I have to love Mal and Inara, though. They = the best. I would send cookies to anyone who would find the clip of Mal barging into Inara's shuttle, I can't find it, and if the tiny chance occurred that I did, I wouldn't be able to DL it.

I know there are petitions out and all about it, but I wonder if Whedon is really gonna be able to be given the money for a second season. I mean, I'm one of the ones who's hoping. I'll be damned if I never get to find out about River, or even Book (which the movie kinda made me messed up in the head about that), cause I'm still not for sure.

Well, Whedon has said he's never going to work for FOX again, and since they hold the rights, there isn't likely to be another Firefly.
However, Universal is thinking of putting some straight to DVD Serenities.

Yeah, I heard about him not going for Fox again (brilliant decision XD). And I would imagine the straight to DVD continuation of the series would be a good idea, since the DVD box set of season 1 sold so well.

Some website concerning a continuation was asking for feedback about how much people would be willing to pay for DVDs and in what format they would want to watch it and so on. I hope all of the fuss means something good is going down XD
