For a while, wolves. Then faeries, then dragons, then random people, then wolves, then faeries, then IZ fanart, then dragons. ^___^
I keep track. :3 |

I go through character phases. In which I will draw the same character over and over and over and over and over and dear God is there no end to this?
As I can recall, the order went something like this:
Umbreon (Most of 7th grade)
Lugia (7th-8th grade)
Beelzemon (8th- part of 9th grade)
Emiko (my Mary Sue...) (The rest of 9th grade)
Bakura (Also 9th grade, and all of 10th grade, and a tad of 11th grade. This one was the longest. D: )
And now my obsessions are less "long", but I still have them. I have little bouts of drawing my OCs over and over. I had my Gatha phase, my Milo phase, my Gabriel phase... I'm currently in my Garrett phase.
And I just realized that three of my male OCs have names that start with G. Huh. _________________ FAC |

Currently, I am obsessed with drawing Cloud.
A couple of years ago, I was drawing Harry Potter constantly. My few attempts at realism still elicit laughs from my brother when he looks in my poor sketchbook.
Even farther back,(probably 7th-9th grade) I was drawing a lot of Digimon. My brother and I made up so many OCs, it isn't funny. We had this whole alternate storyline going. I wish I had written it down, some of it was pretty good.

I used to draw nothing but anthros back in middle school. Then, from high school, I started drawing various original characters, none of which I really think about anymore. They were pretty much all female. I then went through a phase of drawing my favorite anime characters - Zelgadiss from Slayers, Tsukasa from .hack//SIGN, Link from Legend of Zelda (okay, not an anime, but close enough), and that sort of transitioned into drawing various male original characters, all of whom I still draw to this day. I've gotten back into drawing females again, mostly because of my dark elf characters. These days, most of my drawings seem to be of drow.
Drawing phases just come and go. Who knows who or what I'll be doodling in a year from now? |

Long-haired musclebound guys... I think I've developed a bit of a repuation for my hairmetal~esque character designs amongst the people in my class.
This is what happens when you grow up with no real art teaching so to speak of and you teach yourself to draw via superhero comics and manga. Yup... lotsa pretty, crazy-haired, hugely muscular guys..... _________________

Hair metal boys were super heroin skinny.
But I get what you're sayin'.
I've drawn the actual hair metal boys for the past... 8 years. 'Cause pretty things make me happy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Boys 12-16 that should be fairly obvious.
so easy, no muscle tones, no curves, and one of the most age group characters used by shounen mangas.
Not much of an obsession because they are the only thing I can try without looking too bad. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

Hmm,I think I had an obsession for drawing Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho before, last year. Now,about the only thing
I draw are original female characters(Not the generic Mary Sue kind,or fan character.Just something without a story.),right now I love drawing female samurai.Sometimes I draw Bleach fanart;mostly characters rendered in South Park form. |

The very first art obsession was what really introduced me into art: Sailor Moon. I drew that for two years. D:
Then it went to Xelloss from Slayers.
Then to fantasy.
Next to modern/ghetto stuff.
And finally modern/ghetto-fantasy stuff. :P
I try not to post subjects of my obsession. Dunno why... *shrugs*
[OT] Kenshin, who's that in your avy? Is it that guy from tales of legendia? (don't know names, sorry)[/OT] |
