Does anybody like them old electric train sets? If you do then please tell me more, it could be anything related to this topic like What kind of train set you have? What locomotives you got? What new layout youre planning to build? what themes your going for? the lists go on and in a way its kind of an art.
For me I have this old electric train set I had ever since I was a very young boy and it still works Purdy good, but had to get all the grime off the tracks as it didnt work very good at first. My train is based off of a Canadian National Diesel set that once ran for real during the early 70s and early 80s. its a HO scale model made from Bachmann. Scary thing enough some of you people on this site was not even born yet or to little to know anything when I got this set lol. But its just one of them things that you cant truly grow out of and there are retired people still playing with these things I guess it reminds them of there youth.
But you can go crazy with these train layouts and make a whole miniature worlds to any theme imaginable and could be a really neat past time. Ive seen some pictures of some of the layouts people doand some almost border line on surreal
Here are a few links to some images I goggled:

Wow, I used to be obsessed with trains when I was younger. Don't ask me why though. It was just something that fascinated me.
Never had any real train sets though. There wasn't enough room to set it up in the house we used to live in. Then there was the hassle of getting it out, setting it up an putting it back. I was never a neat person. ^_^ _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |
