Has anyone ever read the series? I've been reading the 1st and 2nd one for quite some time now, and I've never heard of anyone who actually read it except this girl that I see every day. The 3rd entry in the series doesn't seem to be doing bad, at least on online sources which can be very misleading. So I'll ask again, has anyone ever read it? _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

I read a couple of chapters, lost interest, threw it aside.
I have heard they are really good. But I couldn't be bothered reading at the time.
I think I'll try again.
Maybe. |

If you can't be bothered with reading currently, why are you doing it? _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

It was a year or two ago. When they first came out.
I couldn't be bothered at the time.
And now I'll consider braving the poker warrior to find it in our bookcase. |

I think it's a really good series. I've read the first two book (my library doesn't have the third yet ) and so I'm waiting for the third one. I think how the author takes a first-person POV and a third-person POV in the same book is kinda interesting. (not to mention all the side notes, I love reading the side notes) |

Poker Warrior?
Yeah, the side-notes are an interesting extra that adds background information to the story. I got the 3rd one too yesterday. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

I really thought that the first book was interesting. I loved reading Bartimaeus's sidenotes, especially the ones about humans and Atlantis. Those ones were pure gold.
My school doesn't have the second or third. _________________ Best Quote Ever: "B&."- Said by multiple people.

I loved the series personally. The whole book had Intense detail that kept the reader intrested into the story. Bartiumeaus(sorry for SP), Was a real joker in the book makeing you laugh occationally. The footnotes also have the story into where you are accully in that world. |

You spelled Bartimaeus fairly well, you only mixed up the 'A' and the 'E'.
The footnotes provide a kind of background story, informing the reader on things that are happening in the story. Humor makes them interesting to read too. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

I've read them now.
They're pretty good. Batimaeous' footnotes are the best things in them.
A lot of things I easily traced back to Greek/Roman mythology. And by memory. |

Am I the only one who spelled Bartimaeus correctly? It's like a horrible fashion trend.
So you finally read it, did you? Glad you enjoyed it.
Sorry to say that I could barely tap the roots of Bartimaeus's footnotes. That's how pathetic I am. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

Okay, okay. Sorry. It's a hard name to remember.

Yeah... not the best thing I've read, but still pretty good.
I did get a bit bored at times, but... |

Such as the long-winded conversations?
That is understandable, in fact, some of the more violent scenes were boring too.
It's definitely not as dark as the likes of HP, but I haven't followed that story in quite a while.

I like thje way Bartimaeus can change shape amd stuff, also the scaning of the seven planes is pretty cool and adds depth to the story. |

I read the third one and I was like: "...oh my god..." I was kinda disappointed, 'cause I may have misunderstood it but it finished as Nat as a magician as opposed to a human, that he (and we) all want him to be, so that kinda let me down. _________________ ..x[LauraDora]x.. |

Nat, human? What do you mean? The ending was very sad, but also necessary. What does everyone think of the BT section here? I just posted 2 new fanarts there. |
