Why can't most fanartists here post their own CGI rendered artwork on the site?
I tried to submit my cloaked version of myself on the site and it was rejected.

CGI...? The specific reasons for rejection should have been specified in the rejection message, if not more clearly in the site rules.

I looked in the Site Rules but found no rule banning CGI . . . but to the contrary:
5. Art in a wide variety of mediums is accepted. Hand drawn, paint, CG, sculpture, and cosplay are all valid mediums. However, some such as cosplay are more appropriate in other places.
Paint, Photoshop, 3D Studio, etc., are all CGI mediums, and the Site Rules page makes no distinction between them....

CG images are the most likely to be stolen, so the abuse team and approval pannel are most suspisous of it.

They are not specifically banned, just caution used when approving them.

My last post probably didn't make too much sense... slipped up when I was editing it.

CGI images, especially good ones, are very easily confused with official art. Like when I saw this one I had to do a double-take because it's extremely close to the actual style of the in-game cutscenes.

So I guess it's like denis says, they're not specifically banned, but they're kinda taboo.
