When you first started drawing, did you draw your favorite character, or an original character? Just wanted to know how most people start off in the world of art. As for me, I began drawing at 4, and Sonic was what I was drawing (the pictures are really bad and drawn with crayons of course).

When I first started drawing, all I drew were bunnies and lions and happy dogs and lizard people.

Hoo boy, we come a looooong way.

When I first started drawing... lol, le's see if I can post all of my phases. 8D

I first started drawing ghosts and monsters on my bedroom walls when I was two. The ghosts then evolved into bumblebees. Then I became obsessed with dinosaurs, and then unicorns, and then cheetahs. Then Pokemon, then Digimon, and then I started drawing people. ... I don't know if Beelzebumon counts, but I drew him a lot. He was 'people" enough. x: then I drew Zoids characters, then Yuugiou characters, maybe some other fanart. Then I started original characters.

And I've sadly forgotten how to draw animals. 8D

I've started out drawing dinosaurs and continued for years since I was really little. You can clearly see the effects of it; all I can draw now are dragons and the like. 8D

My friends and I used to draw the adventures of our stuffed animals and other critters throughout the latter half of elementary school - random things like cygnets and cicadas... but I wouldn't really count that as drawing with the intent to create art.

Artistically speaking, I started with dragons and anthros in middle school because I decided that I couldn't draw humans and thus never would. Then I got interested in the anime art style in high school, but I was more interested in drawing my own pictures than copying fanart (although I do admit that I got my start by copying a few pictures from Princess Mononoke). Now I just draw people for the most part, although dragon doodles tend to show up in my class notes.

I started with animals...I remember when I was in kindergarden actually, I drew a "really good" cat that I was so proud of. Rolling Eyes -sigh- It brings back old memories of me and my best friend drawing pokemon in chalk on my driveway...heheh.Then I was into birds...pheonix's and stuff. THEN I got into more fantasy stuff like dragons and the like. I just recently got inot drawing people actually...

When I started drawing...

was either funky animals (either scary-looking real animals or Neopets or Pokemon)

or my favorite character. I remember drawing Sailor Moon or something. Woowee, you'd look at my first art and be like, "is this abstract art?"

The first thing I remember drawing were sharks...that looked more like worms. Then I drew dragons and unicorns and all manners of fantasy animals. Then I drew dinosaurs and dogs, then Ninja Turtles, and then I jumped to realistic portraits of rock stars, and then anime fanart. :3

Back when I was in school, I almost never drew anything beyond what was required for class. (Though I DID play around with Paint -- not MS Paint but something older -- a lot.)

It wasn't until college until I really started doing "my own" art. Everything up until then was just homework, schoolwork, an assignment to get done & forget.

I started out with dragons and stayed there for quite some time. I've expanded a bit since then, but the focus is still on fantasy stuff more than anything else.

When I first started I didn't know how to draw. My drawing was- grabbing the pencil or pen with the whole of your fist as tight as you could (pointy end down when I remembered) and doodling swirly eyes and a great big head and swirly noses and mouthes! xD I've come on a bit since then, but you could say they were my original characters! That was when I was 2.

After that I suppose I had an obsesssion with disney characters and tried to draw them. Inbetween I've had phases of drawing everything from dinosaurs to final fantasy to people.

At the moment I just like to draw, birds, wolves, horses, balto, spirit.... the later ones are my most recent phases, it never ends!

I've always drawn random people and flowers and stuff since....First Grade? I started to doodle poke'mon and my beanie babies a lot but I really got into serious drawing around twelve (although what I drew back then hardly qualifies as serious artwork). Back then it was mostly Zelda characters. I started to get drawing books to help me out because I wanted to draw Link better. Eventually I started creating fan characters and then slowly shifted to creating orginal characters and I got to where I am today after a year or so.

I've drawn my OC since I was 12, I've outgrown my OC's age at this point. >: )

back then, all I drew was rainbows and stick figures.

Always with the rainbows.

I only started drawing my own OC when I was 11...
Of course, it happened to be a winged, horned wolf alien. And, it was a young 12-year-old boy. Kitzy only first existed when I was 14, but her name was Vixen, and she had short blonde hair.
