Do we got any fans of Stephen King here? I'm suprised to see a significant absense of threads and stuff about his books.
To start it all off, what's your current favourite of his stuff? _________________ You'll get a PS3 for this game...

I think King has had his moments, espeacially when he was younger, but currently I am not impressed. I picked up Cell, one of his most recent works and was bitterly dissapointed. I don't believe that cranking out a book every few months (give or take) is a nice way to create quality stuff. THe old novels? Amazing.
The new ones?
I'm not going to spend twenty on a hardcover of those. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

I've never really liked King's writing style. He's not god awful or anything, but his novels have never jumped out at me. And this is hard to admit as someone who enjoys horror/mystery/macabre type stuff. Friend of mine is obsessed with the Dark Tower series though. |

Eyes of the Dragon was the first one I read of his books. I didn't like it at first, but, hey, I was seven when I first read it. I was ten when I read it again, and I love it now. ^_^
I've attempted to read IT, Pet Semetary, Cujo, and, I think, Firestarter. I don't know about that last one, though...
I read The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon and The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass. Both books were excellent. ^_^ _________________ Best Quote Ever: "B&."- Said by multiple people.

The movies do not do his books justice. Pet Cemetary annoyed me so much, they totally changed the ending.
I think my favorites are his short stories in his book Night Shift. Especially Jerusalem's Lot.
I plan on starting The Eyes of the Dragon sometime soon. |

'salem's Lot is my favorite, but I've read Cycle of the Werewolf and the Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger. One of my friends is a major Stephen King fan. He's read Misery(his favorite), Carrie, The Green Mile, 'salem's Lot, and he's now reading The Shining. _________________ --
