Yeah, I click on them if they have good art, even though I try to stop myself time to time.

If any one has used DA, it's the little notice that comes up in your profile and every one else's profile. The picture is about 300x400 pixels big and it usually advertises a person's gallery or an art site. (Hyperlinked)

I was wondering if FAC would run some ads in DA time to time, you know, to attract people who like a tighter community, or young artists who feel more comfortible working with people with same skill level etc. etc.

One problem I see is that I don't think DA lets a fan character in the banners, I am not sure. If we use original characters, that wouldn't go so well with the name "Fanart Central". I guess an original character that loosely resembes a popular fan character? I am not sure.

Other than that, I think Denis should just trial-test, to see how much people is directed through with just few bucks.

I am tempted to make a thread in the Community Involvement to gather sample advertisements from good artists here, Smile

and don't worry about the corporation clause, I've seen a fairly affluent Canadian gallery being advertised and there was barely nothing different from this site and theirs.

BTW, Someone get a screencap of an example adcast for Denis. I would, but since I have subscription now... I can't see it/don't know how to enable it.

Those are pretty cheep rates, if somebody makes an image I'm definitely interested.

I have seen a lot of art theft on dA, so won't that affect anything? I haven't had any problems the years I've been there though.
