I'm trying to remember... Are you talking about the 60's anime, "White Lion Kimba"? _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

It's obscure isn't it? I thought it was pretty neat. We watched it in Japanize with subtitles, the way the good lord intended. It was cool that way becuase we heard the orignal acting and even funnier than listening to english for some reason. ^_^
Leo had beautiful eyes and the human characters were your typical anime stereo types. Odd names too...The Bad Guy was Ham-Egg and Mr. Mustache and Lemonade. I enjoyed it a lot, it was pretty and it had a good soundtrack. At first it seemed like a Lion King rip off..except they were in the jungle. But the plot was far more alaborate and sophisticated than any Disney Move.
I still love disney though...dont get me wrong. Just kinda a breath of freash air to see something different. It seems that for some reason they Japanize have far more creative freedom and somehow make more movies. heh.
The cubs looked funny though. _________________ Mohawks are beautiful sculptures |

Well, the White Lion Kimba came out in the 60's, (I heard it was the first color anime, EVER) and the Lion King came out in 95, so it must be the other way.
I liked both of them.
I watched few dozen episodes dubbed back when I was living in Korea. I thought that series was dead to the conventional anime fans.... _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |
