A lot of people are always asking where to buy anime/manga and all that good stuff for a good price. Well i know of a place that is a little cheaper than saw amazon or any major sales places we all know of, but still has a HUGE selection, gets new stuff often and nice special box sets and all sorts.

And everything is grade A quailty and service is great if you ask me. If you want to take a look or make anymore suggestion, just do so.

here's where to go though. Hope you all enjoy and this helped.

It's great, check it out!

Pretty ghetto lay-out, although the content is great. Thanks for the site Lasher! XD

I used Amazon once, that site expands like crazy...

I'm getting some nice links for doujinshi shops... don't ask...

You need to find yourself a different picture for your resurrection posts Brian. That one's getting kind of old.

Anyway, you can't beat the prices of stuff bought in Japan. Although buying a plane ticket to get yourself over there would kind of defeat the purpose of buying things for cheap.

For online places, I recommend YesAsia.com

They have tonnes of stuff, from video games to cds to doujinshi to even figurines and capsule toys. o_O Plus, free international shipping for orders $39USD or more. Very Happy

I tried to go into the manga/anime section but it's in Japanese and it's not translated...

The site's a bit weird like that. What you do is, you click on one of the titles, then on the next page, you click on whatever language you wanna switch it to. :/

EDIT: But it probably won't help with the "item description" because what they do is they take a picture of the written script and throw it on there. o_O A picture! I guess so even if you don't have the font installed, you can still read the item in its original language. :|

...

EDIT2: Don't ask me anymore because I'm usually on there looking at Japanese video games anyway. XD I don't browse their manga section often. Using their search option is easier than just browsing, especially if you know what you're looking for. Neutral

There's a single anime/manga store serving all three cities in the Grand River area :/ they do give 15% discounts if you are member though...

although 15% tax is added because of tax :/

it really doesn't matter and it's harder to calculate :P

15%... you take 1/10th of the price, add it, and add half of that. pretty easy mental math...

32 dollars...

3.2 + 1.6...

4.8 for tax...

Whew. That's a ridiculous amount of tax. NY's sales tax is high and it's only like, 8%. I hate buying stuff in MA because tax is 5% - I can just go home and buy stuff in NH, where there's no sales tax at all. XD

EDIT: A link to Madarake? Nice! I gotta hit one of those stores up before I fly back home. ^^

You mean you can't multiply something like base price x 1.14? o_O

EDIT: *jealous* Our government is messed when it comes to money management. So many examples I can think of. >_<

I think Quebec's Sales Tax is 20%

yeah, Canadian Taxes are ugly, we're practically a socialist state B)

and yes, Chapters, the 9.99 Tokyopop becomes 14.99 there ... :/

That's why I'd rather wait for my imported manga. It's not much cheaper, but it doesn't have TP's stink all over it. ._.;

And 20%? Quebecers must be insane for just living there. o_O And they want to separate from Canada...
