Just a random thought that came from my drunken ass last night. When was the last time you were in an arcade? What were you playing? Any good? What's the wierdest thing you've ever seen there? I want answers people.
Last night I went bowling with some people from work and ended up playing around a bit. For starters I never knew there was a House of the Dead 4. Come to think of it, I can't remember playing HotD 3. Found Time Crisis 2 there as well. That was a classic in my eyes. As if you can't tell, I'm a sucker for lightgun games.
But does anyone remember or has ever played Mazan: Flash of the Blade? It's like a lightgun game, but it's a sword fighting game. You hold a big foam sword and when the zombie enemies (reminiscient of the Onimusha games) try and attack, you have to parry their strikes and counter, then cut them into pieces. Problem is, you looked like a twat trying to play it.
And another thought. Crisis Zone. Awesome game. But am I the only one who thought the gun was too big?
Opinions people. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

Well the last time was a friends birthday.......played Soul Calibur II and Tekken 5, they were good, and if you got like 50000 tickets or something you could get a Tv (or something like that). I don't really go to arcades often........
Sorry never played Crisis Zone in an arcade so can't answer that.
And never heard of Mazan.........

Last time I was at an arcade? Saturday. What was I playing? Pac man. They have an old pac man machine. ^_^ I also played Soul calibur and wooped a couple of 12 year old boys. They was pissed. This one time I saw the skinniest man in the world being a DDR master. Pretty effing wierd. The arcade where I live is in a mall. It's really small and really sh*tty. Their Tekken 4 machine died. That made me sad. Also they have the classic smack the gophers on the head with a stick game. I'm really good at that. _________________ I have magical female powers

......they also had DDR and Tekken 4 at the one I was at.......but I don't think there was a pac-man machine........there was this cheap photo booth. Someone payed $5 and cut the kid's head out of the photo. Wasn't up that high since you could see through it.
Arcades are fun...........YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY _________________ |

Last time I remembered playing in an arcade was like, 2 years ago. Recently I just discovered some new additions like Initial D, Tekken5 Dark Resurrection and Soul Calibur 2. The Soul Calibur 2 features a stat building system(kinda like online mode). There were other games like Time Crisis 2 & 3 and some versions of DDR. They even have the Star Wars Racer(Boonta Eve Podrace), though I never really bothered playing them 'cause I figured that it was just a waste of money, and time. I'd probably just stick with consoles. However, the "diligent" few who play games in our local mall everyday get Gold and Platinum card memberships. They get to go to events and have free access to games. They say it signifies expertise. PLLeeeeEhhhH!!! <_< !!! I showed a Gold card owner in Daytona USA once(my last game, 2 years ago). PWNED him real good! I have friends who play better than those rich guys who can afford arcade games everyday. Like I said, it's just a waste of time and money. _________________ --Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. I used to have an arcade right next to my house. But people came and smashed them for the money they lost playing them. It was the best place to live since then this was 4 years ago though. _________________ Knowledge is no burden to carry. |

Crisis Zone's great. Only problem is, I often get too distracted shooting up the scenery. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

I remember when they was an arcade at the mall. How fun.
That's where I discovered Soul Calibur shooter games and DDR
There was a fight game for a moment. You picked up the gloves and had to avoid the hits and hit the guy. It was fun but you really looked like a twit punching at nothing and dodging invisible hits
Last time I went to the arcades was....... two months ago? There's an arcade at that place called Recreathque. I know I played DDR
There was a weird game where you stood on a pad and had to use both your feet and hands. You stopped on the sides for the arrow(front, rear right and rear left I think) and waved your hands above little round thingies in front of you when those blue circles showed up on the screen.

Big guns are fun and it's even better when little kiddies try holding them _________________ I know, my sig sucks. So what? |
