Nintendo needs all types of gamers to buy their new system. Naming it the wii is not a good idea if you are trying to attract mature gamers. I can't believe this is going to be the real name for this thing, but if it is Nintendo clearly wants to market it towards 7 year olds. That is the gayest name ever.

I do. Nintendo is my favourite video game company and they're making it less and less cool to own one of their consoles. And face it. None of us want to look like little kids when they're playing video games.

I love it. My game consoles must have fun to say names. Nintendo WHEEEEEEE! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! While I'm playing it I'll say "WHEEE!". Yeah, I like it. Much more fun to say than "PS3" or "Xbox360".

The logic: It's pronounced "We" (as in gamer + non-gamer), and "ii" is similar in appearance to two people.
