I don't know if i've come to the right place. but i have tried several times to post a picture on this site. but NONE have ever been posted because they are on lined paper. and i understand that, that is not accepted but why. i have seen pictures posted that were on lined paper. so if anyone can tell me i'd love to know. |

These pictures used to be approved, but after some time it was decided not to anymore. But to avoid complaints the older pictures weren't deleted.
I think that was it, but feel free to correct me if this is not the case. |

Why should you use plain paper and not lined paper. How about reading Lasher's Rant on the subject. Basically, it's all about how you present yourself and your art to the outside world. Lined paper drawings portray a number of negative impressions to other artists, so when you care about what you draw, at least care enough to draw it on a decent sheet of paper. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

1. If the art was uploaded before the approval panel or no lined paper rule, it's still there. Same for oversized work.
2. If the person makes a good effort to erase the lines, we'll generally let it through (ie, no lines in blank space, any lines through shading are very faint, etc.). You can still usually tell it was on lined paper, but it's not nearly as distracting as it was originally.
As for why, yeah that thread pretty much sums it up. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
