...That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard.
You NEVER read only the developers' own review on their product because they're obviously going to make it sound as good as they can. :\ If you want to get a good idea of a program, you read user commentary.
Do what you will with it, but it doesn't hold any interest to me, whatsoever. + I only listen to good music, haha. Savvy? |

Well, it never hurts to read what the developers have to say on their own product. Obviously they've test marketed the product before releasing it onto the public for mass consumption. I always invisioned Myspace.com as a place for friends, and now we have millions of people hooking up with friends they haven't seen in years. That digression served to prove my point; Developers have the utmost positive intentions of the consumer in mind. We (Developers) would nary lie to the public just to sell a product....not the good developers, that is.
I've personally met with the creator of Limewire, and I can say he is one of the honest business men. Trust me. Trust Limewire =-) |

I do not appreciate the two comments following my own. It is like I am being mocked. I stand behind Limewire, not only as a consumer but a prosumer. I've used Limewire to it's fullest extent. I, unlike many of the internet consumers, have the Pro Limewire software downloaded onto my computer. For the many, you'll have to pay for it, I didn't (due to my familiarity with the developers). None withstanding, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the software. It's an easy, simple means-to-an-end.
Once you purchase Pro Limewire, it'll open the doors to many other programs you can download via P2P. I was even able to download McAfee Virus Software! If that doesn't convience you, then let me know what it'll take. I'm willing to go the distance
and for any further questions you or any of you skeptics may have, check out the Limewire FAQs:

And remember, Download Safely =-) |

Who gives a damn what programs you've gotten off there? Who gives a damn who you know; what you have installed on your computer?
That's called pirating software, and it's illegal. But I'm sure that as a developer you knew that already, right?
PS. Endorsing stuff on a site that doesn't care gives us license to mock you. I'm certain that it's even listed in the forum rules that advertisements are not tolerated; they're against the rules, etc. etc.
Now go away.
ETA: ...lol, McAfee. |

*Ahem*
Limewire. Hmmm, that program gave me viruses and ate my memory.
And then when I would close it, it would open every 10 seconds...most annoying thing ever. I finally was able to get rid of it after many attempts of removing it from my computer.
It also has this habit of not working after being on for about 30 minutes. All of the downloads say there are no sources and completely pause themselves until you open it again.
Also, I was indeed mocking you, because of the fact that I'm not fond of people going around advertising things when it's unnecessary.
We see so many advertisements for products every day, I don't need to see them in forum posts >=( _________________ |

...lol, epic fail. orz
Someone needs to ban your ass. It's already been expressed that advertising in your posts in both unnecessary and unwanted (not to mention against the rules!), so kindly stop doing so.
Though masquerading as someone "important" or leading people into believing you have false associations with other "important" persons is enough to get you banned. :\ |

Most torrents do. Stick to Limewire; limited trojans but a vast collection of pirated material for your downloading pleasure : -) |

My brain is baffled at the stupidity.
Torrents do not have these problems. The sites you go looking for torrents, however, are the things that contain the ads and whatever jizz you keep wanking about.
Although, if you have any idea how the internet/browsers/computers work, you shouldn't have a problem with this kind of stuff.
Limewire is far worse in that department due to the very nature of how it transfers files/keeps file libraries/people can label files whatever they want, etc etc.
Now go away. And we do not discuss pirating material (nor do we advocate it, so stop talking about it like it's a good thing) on the forum. |

But you started mentioning pirating, which is the last thing we need to be discussing on a public site.
Besides, is less a topic about what you like/prefer, but if you use limewire, and if it's a good program to use (not in terms of opinion, but of functionality). It never functioned well on my PC or Mac, and slowly ate my memory even when I didn't download anything - therefore it has some flaws that people should consider before using it. Maybe if they went and actually made it function properly, it might be worth using to get a few songs or something. _________________ |

Getting a few songs? I wouldn't even need a p2p program for anything that's not animu/vg music - the power of ddl and communist nations ftw~

No, I just dislike large egos, lying, and incompetance. Incase you haven't noticed, this topic was never about preferences. And even if it were, you never mentioned anything like that before - all you did was advertise LW and urge people to go off pirating, which is against the rules (and the law), etc etc.
Listen to Kitzy. She knows what she's talking about. Page-taking action, etc. is good, etc. |

your bad. Sorry for your loss, but you cannot really blame a program; if you were careless enough to download things without taking a second glance (using any program) at what it was you were downloading, then you having only your carelessness to blame for your computer problems.
Then again, you might just be one of those casual computer users, so it's understandable : -)
next time, be more careful.....this implies to any software or program you use to download ANYTHING. |
