I've been looking around On Demand (comcast) and in the Cutting Edge section under Anime network (or was it selects?) I noticed chobits the other week. Now i do remember seeing a wallpaper or two of this but never knew it was chobits. Then i saw one of the drawings my friend Seifer did that was chobits and i was some what curious. And then, there cam along cheshire, my little buddy ol pal here on FAC. And i remember her making a chobits outfit and she showed us in the photo thread in general discussion (good luck finding it if you try, that was ages ago and that thing is huge, and cheshire is a picture whore so to speak ) And that only made me think more about looking it up someday, getting it from netflix maybe.
When low and behold i saw it on demand in the anime network section and for free! Wee! Even better. So of course i checked it out. I've seen episodes 18-21 so i don't know anything else other than that. And once i get done watching my ghost in the shell movies and series i have on order from netflix, i think i'll pick up with chobits from there ^_^
But seriously, what's your input on this thing. I mean, i haven't heard all that much of it, but some. And i haven't really gotten a bad or good vibe from it.

Well, I've only seen eps 1-4 because I have dial-up (grrr...) and my local library just recently bought it. Of course, I had to check it out. It is very cute and has some nudity, but you should be expecting that if you've ever read the manga(which I have). I've really never watched anything other than mainstream anime before, and I don't know if this counts as mainstream, but I think it's pretty good! ^^ |

I've never seen the anime series but I read all the manga... well, I own it... but I think they're like the next best thing to sliced bread (other than Tirgun, Sailor Moon, and Inuyasha... lol) But I guess they're good... right? I'll have to check that out on Netflix... heeheehee... humm... and thats all I gotta say... or is it? oh well! ^_^ - Anya - |

I have all the mangas of Chobits, it's a cute series, not exactly my favorite, but it's still cute ^^ My friend on the other hand... obsession is too light a word for it XD He's even tried to convince me to cosplay as Chi on occasion _________________

I watch Chobits On Demand. It's cool. I've been watching it since last summer I think. I saw episodes 1-15, the next episode will come out next month. It's amazing, it gets my little ones calm. _________________

Ah, seems i'm not completely alone in being a little clueless on the subject of matter eh? Well, i just moved so we got a different digital cable company to deal with. Comcast i had before, not it's optimum or whatever it's called. Haven't had much the chance to sit down and figure it out, look through it all and such so it may or may not have anime on it. I doubt for free like comcast did but meh.
I guess it's back to ordering it on netflix huh ^_^ Oh well. Hmm, thanks for replying though. Anymore info you might have i will gladly accept on this one. |

"Ah, seems i'm not completely alone in being a little clueless on the subject of matter eh?"
QUOTE (animenfo.com) | In the near future, personal computers take the form attractive women, called Persocons (editorial note: "persocons" actually means PC or personal computer in Japanese). Hideki Motosuwa is a poor student who failed his entrance exams to get into college. So, Hideki is forced to move to the city, get a job, and attend cram school in hopes of passing the next college entrance exam. He of course, wants a Persocon for himself, but is way too poor to afford one. One day, while passing a building, we finds a Persocon in a trash heap. However, his new find doesn't seem to be like the others he's heard about. She doesn't seem to have any operating system at all, and only says "Chii". As Hideki learns more about his Persocon (aptly named "Chii"), he finds that she is not of any known type, and most likely some sort of homemade model. He also learns of the rumor of the "Chobits", Persocons with the ability to think for themselves, instead of running only complex programs. Find out what happens between Hideki and his new Persocon, as she learns more about her environment, people, and life.
_________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Chobits is great. The story line is very unique. If you've seen the anime, Chii is so cute! But hideki always wears the same bloody green jumper... |

I love Chobits to death.
Decent? Decent?!? You call it decent? Decent doesn't do this anime justice. Chobits is one of the most awesome anime I've ever seen.
Beautiful animation. Delightful characters. Entertaining plot. Excellent character development. Great character complexities especially in Chii, Hideki, Hiroyasu, Yumi and Shinbo
Chobits rocks.

I normally dont like the cutesy "cheesy comedy" animes, but chobits is really good! Im a huge clamp fan, so I had to try it out. I love the character designs a whole whole lot, especially Chii. And it actually has a little dark side to it....I love how clamp can throw that into anime's/mangas. That's probably why I liked it so much. The art is beautiful! |

Yeah, the style and artwork itself is actually very nicely done. I love it. It's what first attracted me to it really. I saw a wallpaper for it and it got me curious. If it has good artwork and style to it, i'll probably check it out sometime. I really can't stand animes that are poorly drawn for their times. |

I have the first volume of the manga and I have to say it's really good so far. But of course they didn't have the second book when I went so I never found out what happened next. I know Clamp also made a manga called Magic Knight Rayearth. It's a kids manga, 7 and up, but they made chobits and that's for 16 and up. Rayearth is only 3 books long but I think there was a second season to the book. _________________ Greg: What's your problem?

Chobits is for 16+ ? Woah, i'd never guess that. I mean, there are some "dodjy" scenes but nothing atroshus (sp?).
Oh yeah, i found a picture of Chii, i don't know wether it is fanart but she has two left feet? Also, the length of her hair varies from pic to pic.
I can't find the pic so you'll have to take my word for it ^_^ |

SEVERE BUMP!!111
Okay, so....
I was looking at my friend's small collection of manga the other day when I was warming up from sitting on her cold ass roof to cool down from our crazy DDR-ness when I noticed Chobits. I had never read it before and it looked pretty interesting.
I borrowed the first 3 manga from her and ! I love this manga to death! It's so ADORABLE! I'm a sucker for romance and this manga tickles me to DEATH! Chi is so adorable and naive! If I had no self respect I would be saying "KAWAIIIIII1!!!1!111!!!1!!" right now.
I love Chobits. |

You can't go wrong with Clamp. They just rock. XD I'm a huge Tsubasa and Tokyo Babylon fan. ^_^ As well as Legal Drug, X/1999, and Chobits, to name a few.
I have a wierd sense of properiety, according to some people, so I don't like nudity or stuff like that in Manga, so I deal with it. But for some reason, I don't mind it too much in Chobits! Maybe because the main character was upset about it too. XD Well, you can't really call it upset; he is a guy, after all. ^_^ But, anyways . . .
Oh, if anyone wants to read the Chobits manga, check out This Site. I'm not sure how long into the series it goes, since I'm busier reading Naruto, FMA, and Yu Yu Hakusho (on the same site! ), but I think it has at least 5 volumes. Happy reading! ^_^
*Edit*: It goes up to volume 8, I just checked. ^_^ |

I love Chobits.
'So hot right now'
The site Shera recommended is weird. Its really different to the comic book. I havent seen the anime though
Is it better than the comic?
I've only read the first three volumes of Chobits but I love it!!!!
edit: I just saw the first ten episodes of the anime (on www.youtube.com) and the manga is better I reckon!
So I started watching Furuba (Fruits Basket) and after watching Chobits (which was boring) Furuba was like a godsend! Relieving me of my constant boredom is pretty hard... _________________ Cant be bothered fixing my signature.

bump.
I read the manga when I was 11, it was good for the first few volumes, it was the best thing ever to me back then, but looking back, I think it really just lost "it" around 4-7. I'm not the biggest fan of series that rely on almost all fanservice for entertainment, and it's definetly not Clamp at it's best (Wish, on the other hand..) It's definetly a Staple series for the Love Hina omg people, though I'd rather watch/read Mahoromatic. _________________ |
