New Hellsing Series

Well I just watched the first OVA of the new Hellsing series. So far it's shaping up nicely, sticking to the manga a lot more than the original anime did which is no bad thing. Fighting the priest in the woods and not the the chruch for instance. ^_^ Even Alucard punching the hole through him looked pretty cool. But I have to say I wasn't as chuffed with Anderson's voice. Didn't think he was as threatening without that psychotic laugh. . . . .

In the end I really can't wait for the next one, but what about you? Seen it? Enjoy it? Think it was a letdown?

I didn't even know it was out yet.

Is it licsensed in the US yet or are you just going by a fansub?

Just got a torrent of it. Don't think it's licsensed yet. There wasn't any subtitles with this one though, but apparently there are fansubs out there.

Basic summary is it's about a oraganisation called Hellsing that hunts down vampires. Their secret weapon (and main character) is the seemingly indestructible vampire Alucard.

Then there's guns, blood, werewolves and Bruce Willis jokes.
