Solo Single Character Challenges

Has anybody ever tried a Solo Single Character Challenge, aka when you play through an RPG using only one character? I'm trying it with some old games I can practically recite the scripts of by heart (coughcoughStarOcean2coughcough) and I think it's really fun. Just when you thought you'd done everything there was to do, you try SSCCing, get your butt royally kicked, and realize, "Hey, there IS still challenge to this game!"

So, anybody tried it before?
