Fanart Pictures Submitted Here

The rules state that the pictures you submit here have to be made from scratch, by you. I have a queation: Does the picture, also have to be your own idea and created from your own mind; not looking at a picture and not stopping the tv and drawing what's on the screen?
I've seen people draw and submit picture that look like a sence from the show. Is that O.K.? I'm asking because I'm not sure and I don't want to be banned.
I just want to know if that's O.K. or not.

"From Scratch" means "Drawn by your own hand".

If you took a screencap, edited it in MSPaint, and posted it, that is not okay. But if you took a screencap and copied it - drew a version of it by yourself- then it's okay. Just as long as it isn't tracing.

I hate seeing all these copied screencaps, because it shows a lack of creativity (and they generally look like crap anyway), buuuut.... it's not against the rules.

copying by looking or tracing is a GREAT art practise, I encourage people to do it when you just start out, I just can't handle it seeing in the internet displayed in people's galleries. Keep the practise drawings where it belongs - your drawer, kthx.
