Depends on what Final Fantasy you are talking about. _________________ |

Have a look around. Kingdom Hearts should be pretty cheap nowadays. Then there's Final fantasy X which should be bargain bin prices as well. Avoid FFX-2. Finding the old PSOne FFs might be a bit harder.
But you need to consider your tastes in gameplay as well. A lot of people get stifled by the turn based combat of FF. KH has a nice, more action based system if that's your thing. |

FACT: A Final Fantasy game with "exceedingly awesome" ("best"?) graphics AND a good storyline does not exist.
FACT: Asking for which game has the best graphics is stupid. Obviously, it'll be the most recent one.

The best storylines, IMHO, in no particular order, FF 2, 3, 5 and 7. Best graphics, well, I'm very, very suspicious of any game that is picked based on its graphics, so I won't recommend one based on that criteria. |

FFVIII.
8 was, in my opinion, the best, hands down. _________________

I-VI weren't even mentioned.... but i know that IV and VI were -great-, albeit primitive by today's standards.
VII was incredible, but it could get real old real fast when you get lost. then again, that's how it is in rpg's.
VIII was not the greatest installment...
XI was freaking awesome. go get it.
X was also awesome, just be prepared to get your ass handed to you a lot.
XI is for rich kids who can pay with human souls, but iv'e never been much of an mmo fan
XII has not been released yet.
Kingdom hearts? totally different animal. Rather than being at the mercy of the atb, you are in real time, so maybe the fast paced gameplay is a better way to go, depends on your tastes. The whole adventure is a huge nostogia trip, taking you back through fond memories of your childhood(or at least most peoples) while fighting to protect them and yourself from the dark. although, half of the magic only is there if you know the FF charas, So i at least reccommend playing FF VII as a majority of the cameoes hail from that game.. |

Stateside, anyway.
For storyline, I'd tell you to go for Final Fantasy Tactics, but that's hardly the "average" FF game. :X Besides, it'll take a bit of work to find PSX games now~ (Unless you whore eBay like I do.) |

well FF7 FF8 FF9 are all around 20 - 30 quid now but its worth getting FF 10 because of the graphics and the storyline and it would make you.... yes make you.... want to get FF 10-2 (i like that game) because you find out what happened to Tidus and it is around 10 - 15 quid. _________________ No matter what happens, even if you become the world's enemy,I'll be your knight.- Squall-Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite, as anyone who knows me probably knows...but if you're looking for good graphics, I can't help you. My idea of "good graphics" is anime-styled stuff like Tales of Symphonia and Disgaea. I still play my Super Nintendo. Graphics, shmaphics, it's the fun that counts! _________________ Disgaea's Overlords Dance in Worlds Beyond Infinity while Mifuyus Magical Multiplying Mole reads the epic Chronicles of Yord, and you learn that your Craving for Finding a Heart of Snow is Taboo in VG unless you dare undertake The Combine of Sin... |

final fanatsy 7 i say has not the best graphics but its probably the one with the more realistic characters who feel pain as well as sadness. ( actually final fanatsy 8 probably has the mroe realistic characters) but if your looking for fun game tht keeps you begging for more id have to say 7
thats my opinion and i dont care what any1 else has to say about it |

haha, depends if you like real times games or not...i would really go with KH since it a more "run up to an enamy, run around the enemy and lob it's head off" whie ff is basically "run up to an enemy, wait, shuffle through options, wait and then lob it's head off, finally"

Play FFX first if you like magic fantasy happy lala and pretty things.
If that's not your style, play FFVII.
Both of those FFs are good starting points that will/should get you hooked on the series. About FFX-2...yeah avoid it...for the most part. Just rent it. It only takes a few days to beat. _________________ I have magical female powers
