This is primarily a poll about a very general topic: Do you have your own character?

By "your own character" I could mean either an OC (like Blanca), a glorified crossover (like UT Inuyasha), a character rendition of you based off your username (like Zakuman in Bullsnake's older comics), or a character that you idolize so much that you act/talk/think just like them (like j_sparrow). Their is a category for each of them, aswell as one for those of you that don't have one. Their are also three exrta choices for those of you that have mixed feelings.
F.Y.I: All the examples I gave you are all dear friends of mine, so don't flame them.

Kind of. I just started writing a comic, but I'm experiencing great difficulting drawing the characters. The main character is Marcela Fernandez, a 19 year old girl living in Espania in the late 1400s.

I have 9 OCs- 8 that go together in their own storymajig, and then Jo, my walking cliche and Blad's love slave. ~<3

I stopped inserting my own characters into things a long time ago, though. It's more fun to make up your own stories than royally screw up the canon (unintentionally) of your favorite show/comic/whatever and possibly cause some character rape (usually of the hot males) in the process.

Don't get me wrong. I acknowledge that you are entitled to your own opinion and I respect that, but just incase I wasn't clear enough when I started this topic:
I would prefer that you DO NOT diss/flame/insult/put any other info in your replys that could discourage other users from posting a reply.
And F.Y.I: DO YOU WANT ME TO CLOSE THIS TOPIC!? Because that's what I got from that little comintary of yours.
An example of exceptable dialogue would be something similar to "...unoriginal, glorified crossover" because if you just can't resist putting an insult in your reply, make it sound intellegent so that people reading it think that beause you're smart, you're naturally arrogant, and thus will forgive you. It's kinda similar to the way people treat the old and senile when their telling you about "the good old days".

You're blowing things way out of proportion. It wasn't a personal attack, but you seem to be making one out of it.

I have my own original characters, one was inspired by a show but I'd never make a fanfic glorifying my character.

In response to everyone that seems to have gone off on a tangent the instant you read my response to Touzoku-joou (sorry for singling you out), let me clarify a few things for you:
1) I am calm. What that was, was me being perturbed. If you do not know what perturbed means, it's a synonym for annoyed. A classic sign of this is synicalism. In other words, I was annoyed, but I was just joking.
2) I almost always put some synical humor in my post.
3) One of the parts of that post were I wasn't kidding was the part were I said," I would prefer that you DO NOT diss/flame/insult/put any other info in your replys that could discourage other users from posting a reply."
4) I'm glad you enjoyed that Touzoku-joou. Glad to see that someone understands synical humor (but seriously, you might want to tone down on the adult lingo every once in a while. It gets on some people's nerves.)
5) Sorry if I seemed to have overreacted Kitzy and Nilitac_Tesgrah.
6) To Nilitac_Tesgrah, infurno, Kitzy, Touzoku-joou, and jhonenfreak: Thank you for posting. Your participation in this poll is most appreciated.
7) I would like it if we could just get back to the main point of this poll already.

Ignoring the little quarrel up there... ._.

You're looking at a crazy person on a fanart site who draws nothing but her own characters. I have five main characters and I'm currently working on um... two or three minor characters.

I love my OCs and they're very special to me. They've actually got a little fan group. It's really nice. <3
My characters have been my main source of ideas. They're just about all I draw and they've really evolved over the years I've had them.

LOL, old thread, but lol @ Inuyashachick who thinks she's important.

My OC consists of Peruvian references and Arsenic motif, respectively, 30 times deeper and more intricate as yours.

I'm still laughing from the list.

I have a whole new set of OCs now, completely set apart from my other ones. 6 of them. Some of them have only made it to the "character traits" step and haven't actually been designed yet, but I'm waiting for help, since they're joint OCs. :/

...Not to sound vexed or anything, but:
1) Dude, I'm a guy (F.Y.I: it helps to know these things by looking at their profile).
2) If you think you're OCs are better than mine, then good for you. I'm glad you take so much of the 7th deadly sin (pride) in your work.
3) It's nice to see that you're in such a cheery mood, but I think you should know that people can die from laughing too much.

P.S: Sorry for singling you out/ offending you or anyone else that may read this.

Get the gist of how people treat you after your posts already: Go away. :<

I don't care about your "Seven Deadly Sins", nor how you are a guy instead of a girl, does it matter? All I know is you are a pathetic retard who should not be given the right to express opinions or be given art materials, like, at all.

I'm not so sorry about singling you out though, cuz I'm cool like that.

I have an expandable folder full of DBZ fan characters, mostly extra famly members for Vegeta like siblings, kids, and a few uncles. But that was years ago. The only two that remain are Sariku(aka Rikuchan) and B.J.(Riku and Broly's son). Riku was originaly created as Vegeta's lil sis, but her appearance has changed a little since then. I now mostly do characters for a manga I am working on.

Lolz, OCs.

Hard not to have a bunch of them, seeing as I write fiction when I'm not busy and not playing video games.

I don't remember most of them. They kinda get written, then they go sit on the shelf. Not a big fan of writing epic stuff, nor reusing characters in different scenarios, lol.

PS. cynical* ....and that wasn't actually "cynical" humour. Just sounded like you were bitchin' people out, mate.
