If you haven't tried it yet, watch Chobits if you're mature enough for some of the more suggestive scenes. I'm not done with it, but it made me cry (in a good way) and I like stuff that does that to you. Crying or Very sad

I recommend...
- Ouran High School Host Club (some people with good sense of humor will love it. It's also having some great scenes (and very great twins making you laugh).)
- X (I remember it as one of the first series i've seen... I must say that all characters are very nice ones. The city and fights are done well, i really recommend this one.)
- Magic Knight Rayearth (yeah yeah, i know, bit old, but yet still it is being awesome from the magic effects and plot.)
- Tenjou Tenge (What can i say? It is just very nice and got great fighting scenes. Some scenes also make people laugh if they get it.)

Hehehe, I have heard of them before and it's nice to know another person to recommend it. That means they really are nice. Smile Thanks for the reply! Will be added to my list. ^__^

Ouran High School Host Club- how many episodes are there in overall? I read its manga but not watching its anime yet.

Fruits Basket: Because it is absolutely funny!! The characters are nicely drawn and well balanced and I love the antics that they get up to. The character's quirks are funny, too, and the manga has a nice plot all round. There is one character in there that I cannot stand. Akito... whoops... I said too much if you haven't read it.

Eerie Queerie: Bit of an aquired taste, as it were. This is for older readers, like sixteen and up, but the story is about some boy who has the power to see ghosts and have them possess him. What these characters get up to is funny, and the scenes are pretty funny in there... especially in volume two. It is about these guys and some... stuff... goes on, but it's not too serious and is merely playful, teasing. Buy it. Please buy it!

Naruto: Ninja. Nothing more to say... oh, go on, then. The idea behind Naruto is amazing. Someone who is hated by the rest of the village, and who wants to be someone great so he is respected when he is older. The fight scenes are suparb and the action flows nicely. There are some good comedy scenes in there, too.

Note: these are all manga titles, although FB and Naruto have been made into anime. I just wish Eerie Queerie was made into an anime...

Saiyuki: 4 interesting, angsty guys, fantasy and blood & guts, a really, really unique theme throughout, different than your usual... Awesome [if different] art style, and an awesome plotline and chars. overall.

Hellsing: Awesome original style, killer characters, catchy plotline and really nice ability to draw blood. Shocked [depends on your taste, I suppose...]

Immortal Rain: Interesting plotline, good solid art, neat characters.

Crescent Moon: Another manga with really unique art style, awesome characters and slightly cliche but still interesting plotline.

Angel Sanctuary: Absolutely stunning artwork [at least, the artbooks and detailed pieces really are] and interesting plotline, more shojou related than the rest.

Suikoden IV: Lovely art style and a plot that could only come from the video game. Wink

That's some of the tops, only. Highly recommended. Very Happy

Get Backers: Some people are mixed on the art style, I actually used to like it but now it bothers me a little bit. But still, it's a wonderful manga that has a little something for everybody in the fanservice department. Very interesting and fun characters, and good storylines. It's pretty dirty at times, though, so BE MATURE and blahblahblah whatever. D: I have yet to see the anime, but it looks a lot lower quality than the manga. :/

FullMetal Alchemist: Definitely go for the manga if for some odd reason you have yet to read it. =P The manga takes a much different turn from the anime, and is a helluva lot more interesting. It's also funnier, and yet at the same time, a little darker.

DeathNote: Totally different from any other series I've read. Very engrossing and intellectual, and you get a look at both the hero side and the villain side- but you're not sure who the hero or the villain is- you have to decide for yourself. =P Combines the mystery and supernatural genres into one excellent manga. The art style is great, too.

Angel Sanctuary: One of the few Shoujo manga I like. The lovely art aside, it has a really interesting plotline and an underlying theme that makes you feel a little guilty for reading it. Supporting incest? wut? But no, I love the characters and the end of each book always keeps me waiting for more.

Eureka Seven: An anime on my list? Preposterous! No, but really, I love the art style and all the interesting and VERY unique characters.

Vampire Game: Artwork? ... not so good. It starts out alright, but it gets worse as the story progresses. xD But still, it's a fun manga with cute characters and a unique plotline. Rather shoujo-y, but eh, I can deal. =P

I could rec more, but I'M LAZY.

Personally, I say Death Note. Kind of funny, and I personally just like the plot.

Full Moon o Sagashite-Good plot, good characers, I would give it a 5 out of 5, and recommend it... Very Happy

Tsubasa Reservior Chronicle: Another good plot, lotsa intense moments(Like Uber "OMG!! WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN!?!?!") and stuff like that . 5/5, recommended...

xxxHolic: Intertwines with TRC but doesn't have a very straight plot as much as the others. More of a lot of short stories(But some are longer than others...)

If people don't start giving out good descriptions, this thread is probably just gonna get locked for being another "favorite series" thread. :|

There's many animes that I believe are great to discover, but here's two that weren't told before or aren't as popular as InuYasha for example...

Chrno Crusade: A short anime, 24 episodes, but it's actually a quality since you don't get bored by it. It's mainly about demons, church and so on, although you don't need to be a 'catholic believer' to watch it (eh, I'm not into religion at all and I loved it, so!). The plot line is quite good, since each episodes make you learn more about the characters and their past, as well as why they continue to fight on. Also, the main 'ennemy' actually have a reason to act the way he does and not only for 'I want to be the ruler of the world and that's all'. He fights for freedom, as well as kiss almost every girl he sees! So ya, to resume it, it's about a sister who by the help of a demon tries to get back her little brother who's quite weak because of his healing power. Although, the demon can only uses his powers by taking some of the sister's soul each time, which is why he rarely transform into his demon form. It's worth the view just for the ending (which is quite touching).

Trinity Blood: Once again a 24 episodes anime and about the Vatican, but this time it's versus vampires. The main character is simply the best part of it, since he can be either clumsy and almost seems totally clueless or very intelligent and extremely powerful when he uses his krusnik powers (a vampire who drinks other vampires' blood). Plus, his taste for sugar is simply unbelievable (I mean, who actually put 13 squares of sugar in their tea?!) Plus, you don't need to see the episode before to be able to understand it (well, except for the part I, part II, etc.). There's also the fact that although vampires are suppose to be 'bad', you meet some that aren't that much after all and you become attached to them. And if it's not enough of a description, well there's the main character who lost his wife and promised not to kill anyone anymore (which is quite difficult considering his powers), a 'cyborg' who can shoot pretty much everything with his guns, a sister who once wanted revenge and even killed a vampire in its name, a pope who's actually a young boy, his older brother and sister being quite against eachother, as well as an Empire (vampires 'Vatican') who might not be the true ennemy afterall.

Hope that's enough description, and if it's not the best ever, well just consider it's past 1h00AM here and I have to wake up at 7h30 this morning to do some homeworks, so! (University and its homeworks!)

I agree w/ whoever said Ouran High School Host Club! It is TEH best! So many cute scenes, and it's hilarious, too! Sadly, the anime is over...but at least there's the manga. Oh yeah, I think it has 26 episodes. Watch it on YouTube, it's GREAT! Though it doesn't have much fan appreciation...I would put up a picture of OHSHC, but I'm not good at drawing them...

I think Ouran is overrated. But that's just my opinion. The characters seemed pretty stock, and the manga made my eyes bleed. Too many words and sparkles per panel! D8 If I want a zillion words thrown in front of my eyes, I'll read a novel. At least novels are laid out so you can read them. Dx
