He's my mildly retarded alter ego. Thought everyone knew...
It's all about drug of choice. If you smoke pot...choose avy's list. If you prefer cocaine/heroin/speed...tk/my choice.
And zekk's list is too ecclectic, so if you're tripping on LSD, choose zekk's list.
Seriously, you listed just about every stoner band there is.
Boring. You can't make good music unless you're drunk and high off coke, heroin, and something you found under the sink all at the same time. It's a proven fact.
Although my list would include things other than the addiction poster boys (and definitely wouldn't include metallica). Hanoi Rocks, Faster Pussycat, Cinderella, tuff, ratt, enuff z'nuff, and so on. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I highly doubt it. Mine is so glorious it has to be seen in person. Tits are where it's at anyway. And I clearly win there.
The fact Tyler suggested Poison is almost gayer than the fact you took the suggestion. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

We made love afterwards.

But if System Of A Down is your favourite and can guess with some certainty that the rest of the bands you listen to are crap too. _________________

People need to start listening to Chilliwack right now!!!
One of the most underappreciated rock bands. I'd put there catalog up against a lot of other bands. Listen to their greatest hits. |

You think I'd argue with that? You've probably seen my posters. And I do still love Static Beth/Cynthia Plaster Caster. Cockage.
Aaaaanyway. I was gonna close this 'cause there's two "Fav band!!!!" threads right next to each other. Now I can't be bothered.
Waiting for laundry to dry...
Cinderella (hair metal/blues)
Faster Pussycat (hair metal/hard rock)
TUFF (80s rock)
Roxx Gang (hard rock)
Enuff Z'Nuff (80s acid rock...I made that up, but they're an 80s band mixed with 60s hippie music)
Saigon Kick (hard rock)
Hanoi Rocks (glam punk. They're the ones who took punk and mixed it with 70s glam, which led to all the fluffy hair bands)
Ratt (hair metal)
Bauhaus (early 80s goth. Real goth)
Peter Murphy (Bauhaus singer solo...more "pop", less experimental)
KIX (hard rock)
LA Guns (hair metal...ish)
Lynch Mob (hard rock)
Crash Kelly (hard rock, current band. Elements of classic Alice Cooper/Cheap Trick)
Vains of Jenna (new hard rock band, debut just hit stores weeks ago)
Accept (hard rock in a Sabbath kinda way)
Dogs D'Amour (hard rock again)
Great White (hair metal hard rock)
Newlydeads (Taime's industrial rock project)
Skid Row (hair metal, mostly hard rock)
various other hair bands: Jackyl, Winger, Whitesnake, White Lion, Warrant, Love/Hate, Shotgun Messiah, Cats In Boots, Black N' Blue, Bang Tango, D'Molls, Vandenberg, Every Mother's Nightmare, Slik Toxik, Sleeze Beez, Quiet Riot, Lillian Axe, Kik Tracee....
And tk, if you like poison, any of those will treat you good. Probably better.
And under no circumstances listen to: Tesla, Slaughter, Stryper, Bon Jovi, Dokken (except the best of), or Trixter.
eople need to start listening to Chilliwack right now!!!
That name is worse than all the Slik Toxiks and Enuff Z'Nuffs put together. K, listened to them....you can't be serious that you'd put them against other groups? They're lame 80s rock without the fun. And they look like pussies.
Rock has to be able to kick your ass, even if it's in spandex and makeup. Crash Kelly is a much better canadian band.
Crash Kelly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wr_R3F2cBPc
Chilliwack fags: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FBHhU4NPDA
Even Rush is better, and I fuckin' hate Rush.
....I just noticed Queen in Jimmy's list of shit. Freddie's turning over in his grave.
ETA: CK only has one video, and far from their best, so http://www.myspace.com/crashkelly _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

How could you not like the name Chilliwack? The band was named after the city Chilliwack in B.C. It's a great name and you pronounce it Chill-a-wack not chili-wack. Probably based on an aboriginal name for the area.
And the band wasn't strictly an 80's band, some of their best songs came out in the 70's like "Fly at Night" and "Crazy Talk". Their most well known songs came out in the early 80's and the band stopped producing music soon after.
Crash Kelly huh....
I had never heard of this band and I wish I hadn't listened to that video. The singer of that band is terrible. There's no kind of redeeming qualities in this band.
First of all they make 80's hair metal and they are a newer band. About 15 years too late for that type of music boys. Pretty pathetic. |

Crash Kelly aren't hair metal. Now YOU get your genres right.
And I was pronouncing Chilliwack correctly, which is also a dumb name for a city. Just because it's the name of something else doesn't make it a good band name.
Aaaand, yet again, they're just huge failures. Obviously you lack technical knowledge because there's nothing skillful or creative about Chilliwack, aside from a bad choice in name and a lackluster performance value.
Sean Kelly is a remarkable singer when he needs to be. 11 Cigarettes from the first album comes to mind. That singer from Chilliwack belongs...no, he doesn't belong anywhere near a stage.
You can listen to whatever you want, but don't get all uppity when you proclaim that a shitty band is better than "a lot of other bands" without any supporting reasons other than you have terrible taste. Rap boy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
