About a loser, Tsuna, who meets a baby who claim that the loser is a long-descendant of a prominent Mafia family and that he will tutor him into an excellent Mafia leader.

First, Reborn! (The baby tutor) organizes his "family", which means he pretty much conscripts friends around him to do his bidding, and uses tools on Tsuna to reveal his true powers. His signature weapon is a bullet that will temporarily kill a person and reveal their true self for few minutes, followed by extraordinary strength, this gets used often to Tsuna, cuz he's a pussy.

For about 6 volumes, the story is episodic, the story develops around mainly Tsuna and Reborn, and their growing acquaintances, first is Gokudera, bomb expert; Yamamoto, Baseball/Kendo Prodigy; Bianca, Poision expert; Romeo, Idiot; Hibari, Bully; among others, and then the story finally enters arcs of battles between rivaling Mafia families.

I've grown the love the manga because of its characters and because it doesn't take itself seriously. And there's some unique point about it that I love, like Futa, aka "The Little Prince" He is the owner of the Book of Statistics, and comes from the Planet of Rankings, and frequently, he makes "contact" with his home planet that keeps rankings of everyone in the universe. When three men tries to steal the book from him, he tells them their rankings within the universe "You are 4th most likely person in the universe to back stab that other guy", "You're the 100th person to do that guy's sister" etc. God, I loved that chapter.

Also, there's many series where I don't like any characters, very likely, there's one character I like. But for Hitman Reborn!, I have to say I like most of the characters, because of the style they are drawn in, and because they are much less annoying than most characters I've seen nowadays.
