Rumiko Takahashi: Man hater?

[color=indigo]Does anybody think that Rumiko Takahashi hates men?

Her main male title characters like "Ranma 1/2" and "Inuyasha" get abused in her mangas. Ranma with getting malleted by Akane and Inuyasha with getting "SIT" by Kagome.[/color]

Thats pretty common in a lot of anime/manga -- espically in harem anime like Ranma.

Nah. Then all her characters would be female and lesbian. She doesn't really dislike men, she just abuses them for humor's sake.

I think you should read less manga and exercise more. 20 minutes of jogging for a healthy heartbeat.

Or read better mangas outside Rumiko fare, whichever you prefer.

I take our dog for walks, so I get most of the exercise I need, thank you Laughing

And yup... there are some better manga than Takahashi's but come on... it's Rumiko Takahashi- how can you not like Ranma? Well, I mean to say, I don't like Inu Yasha, but Ranma's funny from what I've seen of him!!

I personally don't know if Rumiko is a man hater but the whole 'sit boy' thing is hilarious. On the other hand I don't know if she is but she could be for all we know

Hmmm...I suppose the point of beating up on the men is that it totally switches gender roles around, which makes the manga more appealing to women.
And that book, 'I love you forever'? Yeah...take a closer look at it. That guy's mom is a stalker. Who crawls into your bed when you're an ADULT and rocks you to sleep?! That is scary as hell. A knife-wielding murderer is better than that, at least I won't be needed emotional therapy for the rest of my life.
