Celebrity Big Brother.
Aww come off it. You have to have heard about it. The hit series has recieved record complaints (Almost 2 million I believe, through all media) because of the 'Racist Bullying' involving Jade ( can't remember her last name) and Shilpa Shetty. Though neither realised that they were on the front cover of every British newspaper Jade continued to leave Shilpa out of everything they could. Her, Danielle (Ak forgot again. All I know is that she was Miss GB at some point) and Joe (Again no last name. SHe was in S Club 7 or something) had formed a little group and sat there, arguing about how to cook chicken, until it escalated into something way bigger.
The series thrives on controversy. 14 people in a house and one person voted out every week by the general public. Pretty much everywhere in the house has a camera, and mic's. Little privacy and no contact with the outside world.
I doubt anyone outside of Europe will have heard to much about the show until recently, but Jade's comments have created a national scandal. The goverment got involved at some point.
For almost this entire week, BB has dominated Britiain's newspapers (Except perhaps some of the more serious ones) Until it stood that a vote for evicting Jade was a vote against Racism and a Vote for Shilpa was pro-racism. Of course, the public response was that against racism.

Pretty much. Just it's an oxymoron. There's no real celebrities in it. Some Bollywood star, people from bands that split up years ago, failed models, an old contestant and their family. Only real one I remember was the guy who played Face in The A-Team.
But the incident itself, sure it was bullying, but not seriously racist. Slightly, but blown out of proportion. Nothing to get India involved in, which has now happened. Noone called her a "paki fuck" or anything like that.
Besides, it's fucking Channel 4. There's nothing they won't do for the viewing figures. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

True, at least Surreal Life admits it's barely B-List washed up people.
And Celebrity Fear Factor/Jeopardy has real celebrities.
You brits phail.
Whoever got in trouble should join forces with Michael Richards. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

He was Kramer on Seinfeld. Who recently got in trouble for shouting racial slurs at black hecklers while doing standup. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I've been watching Jackass all night. Now that's good pseudo celebrity reality television. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
