Just got back from a day of shopping at the mall and while I got some really awesome sales, I also made some outrageous buys. My biggest splurge was on a pair of boots that were from Nine West that cost $110. And this is just boots. I spent like about $60 more on clothing from Old Navy and Anne Tayler.
Can anyone beat my splurge? What was your most expensive clothing purchase? |

I'm not really materialistic. A plain tshirt and pair of shoes work for me. But my brother goes all out and buys the $200 shoes. and everytime a new pair of Jordans come out, he's gotten have them. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

I spent about $300 on clothes once. Can't remember if I got shoes, but if I did, those were the most expensive thing. |

I don't really spend that much money on clothes. One time I went to the city and spent $160 on CDs and LPs, though. _________________ |

I was with Jon when he bought another pair of $940 shoes from louis vuitton. Didn't pay quite that much though, his boyfriend works there. Yay discounts. Still...insanity.
I'm poor and haven't splurged on anything until after the holidays. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Last time I bought an article of clothing was back in September. Black leather biker boots. Cost me three dollars and fifty cents. _________________

I have a friend like that who won't spend less than $200 for a pair of Dolche & Gabanna jeans. Same goes with sunglasses.
See, I can barely understand the sunglasses but seriously...jeans?! Thats like the dumbest thing to splurge on 'cuz they all look the same. When I told him that, he showed me his backpack which has all the tags hanging from the zipper as proof that his jeans are legit.
At least my shoes look expensive. Jeans still look like jeans whether they're $30 or $300 |

I'm not sure he owns a pair of jeans. Though if he does, they're from Saks, and barely count as jeans anymore.
I don't fault him for it, though, most of his clothes are bought for him by older guys. Before he became a complete manipulative slut, he barely had three outfits 'cause he'd only shop at Saks (our one fancy department store in Oregon) and didn't have the money for it.
....My clothes cost $5 'cause they're thrift shop or Ebay.
I wanna splurge my christmas money so bad, but....but....I can't. Must resist. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Today my outfit consisted of a $150 coat, $60 pants, a $40 shirt. I feel snotty. :<
But yeah, that coat was the most expensive thing I ever bought. _________________ FAC |

Coats are easy to splurge on considering I've never seen a coat cost anything less than $40. And thats from Wal Mart. Where did you get your coat from?
Might invest in a Victoria's Secret bra this week (they cost like $60 for my case which is a total rip off but they're really nice.) Socks are a must too. I don't care if they're like $4 a pair, trouser socks that match my outfits are awesome. |

I got my leather jacket at a thriftstore for 10bux. I went through the pockets and found bail papers. _________________ FAC |

That would be so hot.
I've seen dresses made entirely out of Plastic wrap. Those are pretty cool.
Some kid was paid to wear only aluminum foil at the Prom. It was pretty unusual. |

Considering the fact that this happened in my Sophmore year and therefore, couldn't go to the Prom, I don't know what exactly happened other than he wore only aluminum to the prom.
But I imagine that he didn't do a lot of sitting. |

Goodwill and thrift stores FTW. Fill up an entire closet for the price of a couple pairs of jeans at some store in the mall.
My friends have dubbed what I wear as "<insert> Style" because its random thrift store stuff thrown together that SOMEHOW matches and because its not bought from some stereotype-fashion-oriented store I don't look like a fashion magazine threw up on me lol. Only time I splurg on pricey clothes is for costumes and stuff, and I almost always make sure the stuff I get I can wear regularly too. Like the gypsy skirt I bought at Habitat to go with the Ren. Faire corset I bought off a friend, I wore it to a show last night. |
