Hey, this is extremely random, but has anyone, anywhere ever heard of, or watched, an old TV programme called 'The Phil Silvers Show' (more commonly known as Bilko)? I don't know anyone apart from my dad and old people that know it. Just asking... |

Oh dear me, there is no possible way if you a re a true fan of Bilko that one could ever like Steve Martin, the two are mutually exclusive. He bastardised Bilko and no one could ever, EVER, compare to Bilko. Sort it out |

i thought it was pretty funny. Kinda cringeworthy though. And i have to agree, Steve Martin could never do justice to Sergeant Bilko |

Well then i apologise. It riles me everytime i see him in the role because, even if he's good in anything else, there are certain things you just don't do. I just think he has a nerve to consider that anyone could fill Phil Silvers' shoes, let alone he himself! It's unthinkable it really is. I am sorry though that i jumped to the conclusion. Let's agree to disagree |

Here here.
Okay, now let's escape this acrimony. What's your favourite episode? I'm not sure 'cause there are so many but i love the Schmill episode. That's well funny.
I think the best thing about Bilko is how he flatters Colonel Hall and his wife really fast and she likes it but he's like "BILKO!" lolol |
