I have my own manga that I'm working on. I just recently finished the first chapter, and hopefully when I'm done I can finish it on Manga Studio. I have no idea what it does, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than photoshop...
My tips, develop your own style, definetly. You can have professional artists as influences for your own work, but don't copy the exact concepts the have. Take something you like from them, and make it your own. Hmmm... what else. Oh, it helps to have a friend to read over your work. Preferably someone who reads manga. They can tell you things like if certain panel orders are confusing or if your progressing the storyline to fast.
And! Draw on big paper. It's easier to get in small details. THATS ALL. |

Deleter Comicworks. It feels a little old if you're used to newer programs and it's kinda stupid with importing pictures, but I find that it handles toning and inking better than Manga Studio. _________________ Go Yankees! |

I just got Manga Studio 3 about 2 days ago and I have already started an a manga. But It's a bit too hard, so I may just delete it and start sketching my manga first and then do it on Manga Studio 3.

The only comics I ever draw are on the backs of study guides when I'm bored.
When I'd want to go for something that has a somewhat professional look I use Photoshop CS. I've never really heard much about this "Manga Studio" program... I may have to look into it. o3o _________________ I R GRAMMAR NAZI.

i do...i do it by hand, unless i measure and use straight edges, then i use ms pant to separate the panels with bold black lines...comic book creator is pretty nifty...but you need to make sure you draw your pics the right size... _________________ You probably recognize a pattern beginning to take shape. Not of the Fibonacci variety either, where said repetitions are woven into the very fabric of nature in some kind of cosmic mathematical coincidence that makes you wonder if there really is a design to everything after all, but more of Grandmother's quilt variety, where said repetition makes you wonder where in the world people can purchase such hideous floral pastel patterns and why they think you'll want to display them in your living room. |
