So i'm pretty near the end of my high school days and I was thinking, what college would I go to since many keep asking me since they seen some of my art skills. I've seen and liked some art colleges I looked up and heard of, but I only like most of them in Florida, and one in Toronto, Canada. I know most of you might not care, but I would really like to hear what art colleges you think are the best at all, or are good enough to put on a resume to apply for. _________________ =<img>

Where do you live/want to live? I guess if you liked both florida and toronto it probably doesn't matter. What school in florida, ringling?
Good accredited schools (best for different departments, specify what you want to major in and I can narrow the list) in no particular order:
Art Center - pasadena, CA
CalArts - Valencia, CA
Otis - Los Angeles, CA
Pratt - Brooklyn, NYC
RISD - Rhode Island
MICA - Maryland
Ringling - Florida
School of the Art Institute of Chicago - Illinois
San Francisco Art Institute - San Francisco
Sheridan - somewhere in canada
That's about it. Probably forgetting a couple. Avoid the art institute chain, SCAD, and any non-accredited place like the plague.
ETA: MassArt in Boston is ok too I suppose. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
