Ok, I have officially come up with my idea, but I would like to know just how close I am permitted to get (conseptionally speaking) to the exsisting banners and logos.

Are we allowed to use official artwork on the banners, or is this going to be completely our own creation?

I don't think similiar concept to the existing stuff will be a problem.

No official art, it has to follow the site rules.

Yes, you enter the contest you have to signup at brickfish -- they are the ones the will be sending out the PS3

2) Also, isn't it contradicting when it says we have to be original, but then it says as a tip that we also should use the mascot(s)... Are the mascots the guys up on the current logo, I presume? I'd rather know for sure, than just assume...

3) Where should I post other than my gallery, the Promotion section, or the Show and Tell section to advertise... I'm not getting a lot of hits, it seems...

Okay, so I was all happy to enter and everything, but then I noticed something odd in the rules. To enter, you have to provide the usual info, phone number, address, etc, but you also have to give your Social Security number! This screams scam to me. What's this all about?

They shouldn't even be asking for the address and stuff until AFTER you've won something!

I would have entered if not for this. Congrats, you've just lost an entree.

I don't know what you're reading, but it says you only need to supply the address, etc. to claim the prize. It doesn't say you have to supply it at the beginning.

If you read the rules carefully, it says that FAC will choose the winner and the second prize goes to the person with the most votes.

The word Fanart is a contradiction to original in the first place as it is work based on other peoples original works and/or charachters, By original they mean mearly to draw it your self in your own style that is unique on to you.

The mascott is Pheral, the cat in the middle of the current logo, the other four are miscelanious popular fanarts.
