So, the title explains all really... How much does it usually take time to finish doing one picture? To me, it varies a lot, from about 2 hours to like 6 hours or even more... Shocked Though even that´s not that much, it just depends on the pic.

And I apologise if this has been discussed earlier...

Anywhere from 4-12 hours. Depending on the picture itself. If there are more details required, it will take longer. It also depends on how lazy I'm feeling.

Depends. The yuna pic I made in my gallery is slightly over 40 hours, while the fairy pic is around 8 or so. It depends on whether or not I'm making a model instead of using premade ones (yuna's costume is nearly entirely from scratch except for the boots, while the fairy vines dress pic is premade).

Not sure how long my actual 'working time' is. Average is probably somewhere between 6 and 12 hours. I finish pictures over weeks and months, and usually I'll be doing something else (watching tv, chatting, cooking, taking notes in class) while I'm working.

How do you 'finish' a picture in half an hour, anyway? I'd call that a sketch, not a finished picture.

I write down my working time to the nearest half hour or so. Most of my drawings weigh in at an average of 6 hours, but that doesn't mean I can actually find enough time to get it done quickly. I've a few drawings that have been waiting for weeks and months to be finished and are yet to be so.

True, well, maybe I choosed my words badly... I mean that some people just don´t spend more time to their pics than 30 minutes or so. Then, is that a finished pic, it´s everyone´s own opinion I think.

Anywhere from 2 to 8 hours for me. I'm not skilled enough to detail anything beyond that time.

A big various, depends on whether it has a background or the background has characters, plus sometimes longer if trying a different new style out or whatever.
Mines usually 3 hours + That's to do a real full good pic, not a rough sketchbook practice. I've taken over 2 days picking at a artwork before, having to alter this and that on top of the basic part of the artwork.

Erm...I'd say about five hours, and I have to do it all in about three sittings. For pictures that need a lot of cleanup and Photoshopping, I'd say about two days. XD

I'm very nit-picky about what I do, and so there will be many eraser bits all over my desk. Of course, it could also be my indecisiveness that causes the eraser bits and long periods of time where I have to draw and color.

I usually spend over 10 hours on my favorite pieces. Sometimes, it even takes months to finish. If I get tired, it takes 5 hours or less.

Normally between 1 and 2 hours, but sometimes a drawing can take less than an hour. But nothing under 30 minutes... I can't do a decent drawing in under 30 minutes!!

If it's a sketch, thiry minutes to an hour are usually all I need.
If it's an inked and finished drawing it depends on the medium. CGing being the easiest to work with but also the most time consuming. D:

I spend wayyyy too long. *sigh* And it's not like it gets any faster the better I get at art. No, it just takes longer for me to finish a picture, though I have more detail each picture and can draw something that took me a long time four years ago in a matter of seconds. Art is strange.
