Does any 1 one here listen to dragon force cuz if u do ur cool in my book cuz i love them they're so awesome and like how most of their songs are just insturments. any 1 think the same?

great technically, but no feeling.....

I hate listening to Herman Li playing a zillion notes a second, he does it to show off, there are lots worse than him, but still i really don't like it for more than a minute or two, after that it gets way boring. And they should lower the volume of their drums.....

but still they are technically great and i like their singer...

i kinda agree with most of the stuff u say and i think i know what u mean like theires a song by them thats like 8mins and 16 secs long it got kinda annoying after awhile

I don't dislike long songs, actually i prefer good long songs over short songs, if you listen to things like bohemian rhapsody by queen, civil war by gnr, or turning back by infinitus you don't get bored because they are very creative and do lots of parts that are way different inside the same song, wich keeps it fun. But dragonforce is just loud double bass drums and very fast shred sweeps on the guitar most of the time so i get bored after a while....

Dragonforce is fun, but they lack any creativity whatsoever. Their first album was great, but their new album is basicly the same damn song with the same damn drum beat over and over until Trail of Broken Hearts, which just plain sucks.

Don't get me wrong, I love Dragonforce, but they really aren't that great.

Only song I really liked of theres was "Threw The Fire And Flames". Everything else they made sounds to much the same. I like Aina better, they sound SO alike.

But there one of the better bands in my book Razz

If Kirk Hammett says their guitarists are some of the best in the industry, I don't think I'd have high expectations.
Never listened to them. I don't dislike the prospect of long songs, as I love Tool's "10,000 Days", but if it's just a zillion notes in a second, then I won't be too interested.

i like that they maintain somesort of melody in their music. something that isn't terribly prevelant nowadays. also their singer has a voice that could have been from an 80's metal band, and that just rules me.

I can't hear the drums. i thought there was no drummer for a while. and i like a zillion notes a second. It creates this sort of 'secondary image' that adds to the melody, like how a helicopter roter sins and you see the afterimage.
truthfully, i'm not fond of their random popularity. i thought they were some extremely obscure CD my friend found for me one day, then i turn around ten minutes later and there's a 'ZOmg DRagonforce!11" topic at every forum i visit.

I can't say I really like their songs. They're amazingly good on a technical point of view but I cant listen to their songs that long. It's just one big solo to me. I'd rather listen to a good song with a good solo as part of it, like Dream Theater.

I kind of like them. They remind me of QueensRyke (hope I spelled it right). I personally prefer Gazette, Gackt, and Dir en Grey.
