I haven't written in a while

I haven't written anything recently, so I thought I'd put up a poem for the fans..

truth has left society
so many years ago
the lies are now so plain to see
and everyone should know

but we turned an eye that's blind
to the facts of life
chose to not love or be kind
but selfish, full of strife

the wars that our forefathers waged
were fought so righteously
but now we are corrupted, aged
and this confuses me

any time our president
is just a little miffed
he pulls out nukes, that makes a dent!
baghdad's new facelift...

this may not be the first time
but if we don't act fast
this war may be the first in line
but it won't be the last

raise your voices, those who fear
or you will be at fault
when wars are fought from year to year
and earth will come to nought

this poems almost done now
I hope you find it true
we've got to protest somehow
it's up to me and you
