Anyone Heard Of This?

I've got to say...that I'm not saying that this books plot 's great but I found the Trilogy real amazing...Ieven drew four of the characters
& wrote a verse bit involving two of them.The pics are on the fanart section at:

If you want some show & tell done for your pics, I suggest that you put them on Show and Tell or Critique, not books.

However, since this [b]is [/b]about the Eragon books, and I'm curious, why did you not like the plot? I myself am not a real fan, but since this is books...

Hallo
what I really was referring to was that the plot parallels LOTR a lot!I like the book....I've liked it so much I'm only trying to drw the pictures of the characters based on their descriptions in the book...and I've even tried writing verse based on the book.S when i said what I did I was just referring to how it resembles LOTR alot.

But I have to say that
i like the lady elf 's image in this one(or the one i have in my head when i read the book)...I think its better than Arwen(at least as far as the way she was presented in the movie...I also think that Sienna Guillory makes for aprettier elf int he movie version of the book coming this winter ,than Liv Tyler in LOTR.(thought he question of whether she is better overall remains to be seen ...and right now I have my grave doubts ....it may bomb at the box office ...though if things click ...well I earnestly hope they can continue making the rest of the Trilogy in to movies as well!!!

Otherwise I am actually this obsessed chap as far as the series is concerned(besdies all that plot criticism was the general feeling most people are getting I ignore the depth to which he takes the parallel and I am so in love with it!!!!!!!

I read the first two.

People claim that it rips off either Lord of the Rings (Full-Scale Wars), or Star Wars IV (I think that's a 4) because of a similar plot.

It has a sort of mixed feelings when people review it. One group of people love it, another group hates it, and another group that's in the middle.

I'm in the middle.

I love the seires. The second book is already out and I liked that one as well. Im not going to see the movie. Movies almost always ruin your imagination and the characters look SO different. Arya (the elf) sounds so pretty in the book but I reckon in the movie she will look nothing like how she is described in the book. I can't wait for the last book! I bet he's going to have a showdown with Galbatorix and Eragon will somehow manage to escape and then go to the rock of Kuthian and the roots of the Menoa tree and get super powerful and kill Galbatorix and Murtagh will come and because Galbatorix is dead Murtagh will no longer be under his power so they'll get the last egg and I want it to hatch for Arya. *pants* Ok, well, I'm going to check out the movie site.

I just went onto the movie site and now I have to go cleanse my imagination with an Eragon reading session. Eragon looks like he has a severe case of mental retardation and Brom dosent have his beard and that girl who is standing next to Eragon who I think is Arya looks like a fag and Murtagh looks dumb and Garrow dosent look anything like how hes described and that shade dosent look anything like how they described him in the book and the second most main character, Saphira, ISNT EVEN IN THE GODDAMN PICTURE!!! ARGH I hate it how movies DO THAT! They take random people who look only slightly like how they are described in the book and stick them in the movie and wrecks it for the small minority of people! (Me)

Eragon and Eldest are good books, especially considering the age of the boy that wrote them. And once you really think about it, there aren't that many original books out there. They all sort of start sounding alike after a long while.
