England: Army Abuse Case

Her lawyer was just shown on tv (CNN) saying that she didn't return after recess (court - lunch) because she called her doctor, he wanted to see her, blah blah blah, but then, he goes and says that it's normal that a 21 woman would be under stress with the possibility of being put away for 30 years for pictures that were just all in good fun, and nothing more than you would see, have taken at Mardi Gra (sorry if i misspelled that)

How the f**k can you compare a picture of a US Soldier, holding a dog leash that has a naked prisoner on the other end, on the floor in the fetile position, to Mardi Gra? What the hell is wrong with people? She's shown with her boyfriend at the time, in another picture, behind a pyramid of naked prisoners, stacked up on each other, smiling and there arms wrapped around each other!

I'm from an army family. My dad is a veteran of Vietnam, in which i don't believe we had any real right to be in that damn war in the first place, which i don't believe we should be in Iraq now. So when those pictures came out, it was a slap in americans face, it was a slap and an insult to all the other soldiers and their families, and vets like my dad. That's just disgusting, it's wrong, it's more than unmoral.

It wasn't in all good fun like she said. She's a disgrace to the army, to america, to women, to human beings in general, as are all those others involved. She made one reference to being commanded or told that roughing them up was told to be allowed, one. And even if she was commanded to, that doesn't mean you do it.

I'm sorry, if someone told me to do that to a prisoner, i'd flat out refuse. I don't care if i'd be court marshalled, discharged unhonorably. I DO NOT CARE. That is just down right wrong. And even if she was ordered, and just simply didn't have the guts to say no when in fact any person with self respect, and rspect for others, would have, that doesn't explain why she's smiling inthose pictures, being shown as happy, and enjoying it. And that ladies and gentlemen, is a genuine smile, that's not fake, and if she ever argues that, i will pull out my f**king hair.

I saw that on the news. Most pictures the showed reminded me of some horrible mockery of vacation pictures that normal couples make slide shows out of. It was just disgusting.

I know!!!

It's seeing people like that, that makes me hate the f**king law and government. I love my country, but so much is fucked up about it. I had the strongest urge to go downstairs and ask Charles (my boss) how the hell he would compare his clients like that jackass did!

I mean really, i've thought about going to law school, or something so i could get all my paper work to be a bonified Para Legal but god damn, seeing people like that just turn me off on the idea. I could never have a client like that. I could never lie like that guy did. Mardi Gras my ass. That is some sick Mardi Gras. You know what they do at Mardi Gras? They flash their f**king boobs for beads! What the hell? They don't go into the prisons, take the prisoners out, and harass them. They don't defile them. Oh my god, that has me soooo worked up. It makes me sick really.

No wonder the world thinks we're such f**king jackasses.

In basic training you are taught the Geneva convention in general terms which states that you cannot torture or abuse POWs in any way. If she waht she says is true, that she was only following orders, you are also instructed that you do not have to obey unlawful orders and you should report to another superior if you are at least, in most extreme cases you should relieve your commanding officer. I think they messed up big in that prison. All they did was bring shame to America's armed forces, well at least the Army. All I have to say is this; Semper Fi, Bitch!
